Well my opinion is that it's all about movement. Of course I'm not fascinated about the DJ tweaking the bass knob like crazy but seeing the DJ just be and act make the whole experience more unique.

Think about it, would rather listen to a Global Gathering set broadcasted live on BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix on a kick ass sound system or be in the front of the booth at the same event?

Digweed yes, Sasha no. Digweed tends to be a lot more introverted than Sasha...but Sasha can be a bit of a diva. If you catch him on a good day, he's quite friendly. I talked to him for a bit on his birthday once, nice guy. I also drunkenly talked to Digweed in the bathroom at a club out here, he's hilarious.

in march i briefly spoke to digweed after a 4 hour set at a club down here in melbourne & got a photo with him. he was being very friendly and talking to quite a few people.

his set was fuckin' unreal too.

They pretty much invented the term "superstar DJ" for Sasha, in 1994. According to Mixmag, he used to get random people coming up to him and asking him to make out with their girlfriends. That probably set the bar for what you need to do to get Sasha's attention in a club.
