I really like this chinese place in vancouver,BC, Canada best chinese food i've ever had. Real chinese food imo is not panda express type shit. Its seafood and meats prepared with some spice and not in a gooey sticky sauce thing.

Best Chinese I had was in a random street somewhere in London. My ex and I got looks when we went in because we were the only westerners!
Was casually posh and amazingly good. No sticky sweet as fuck sauces, ace soup to start and then a subtle main course. Was very calm, reserved and pleasant.

Originally posted by gehzumteufel lol, aside from food here in the US, most of the staple foods around the world are relatively bland.

Originally posted by Lilith Thats because a lot of US food is laced with a ton of salts, fats and sugars in a lot of cases... which at least make it taste like salt, fat, sugar and whatever an early cardiac arrest feels like. But that is beside the point, who the hell goes to the trouble of getting a meal you're not cooking, which is bland? Heck no, if I'm getting dressed up and out to a restaurant for dinner I WANT GOOD FOOD, not the plain rice, flat bread and water special!
I want a delicious meal no matter how I'm dressed up

Originally posted by Lilith Even so, if you're spending $30 on take away 'westernised' chinese food, then of course its going to be different than the average meal in china would cost, which is about $3 from memory and I've had the equivalent meal here for about $8 from a couple of restaurants that do it. Likewise you spend your $10 in China to get an expensive dish, it'll still be roughly the same as the $30 ones you get in your country.
I could definitely use some chinese take-out right now. Got the drunk-munchies like a muthafucka. General Tso, you commie bastard, come to my house!
