2000 counts as more than just 1 too. There was everything would end. Armageddon. and if neither of those happend, the Y2K failsafe. No power, bank accounts empty, MAYHEM! But wait, that didn't happen either
These stupid dates always disappoint.
Screw 2012, mayhem, 2038. The Y2K38 bug.

ps dont forget marty and the doc goto 2015 in back to the future. if they could do that, then clearly the world didn't end in 2012.. and hey, only 7 years to go until flying cars and hover boards! w00t

edit: jules where's the mcfly gone?

The only poles moving is that of tathi's towards the gravitational pull of young boys' anuses

(watch the space for 2012 updates)

but seriously, i read about all that shit the other day too scotty and without posting facts and links, it convinced me in some areas that *some thing* is happening. it's a very big coincidence otherwise. nevermind pkc, he's too gay to believe in something that you cant put an internet link to, or that those guys never discussed on the curiosity show

i agree mate - i dont necessarily believe all the stuff i have read as such but do believe something is happening.

maybe the return of open decks?

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on May-21-2008 08:22:

haha, fuck. i cant wait to resurrect this thread in 4 years. prepare for the mocking

but, im really interested, seriously. if you guys have some kind of article (that doesn't launch into the mayans' ability to see/tell the future through their calendar), id love to read it.

ive got some magic beans if either of you two wanna buy some?

Posted by Aesthetic on May-21-2008 08:23:

LOL Scott..

IN acient times the Mayans, an extraordinarily advanced civilization ahead of their time, prophesized that on the 21st of December, 2012.. Desperado bedroom dj's would congrigate in an empty club to play to the cockroaches. They dubbed it Doomsday, aka OpenDex.

Let me put it this way - ignore all the prophecy stuff you find, a lot of it is BS that people make up/mis-interpret.

Do have a look tho at the accuracy of the mayan calendar/astronomy.. you will not find anything that disputes their calendar/time keeping is more accurate then what we even use today.

Then consider this - when the modern world still thought the earth was flat/sun revolved around us etc etc these guys knew what they did thousands of years ago. The big question here is how?

Their 5000 year old diagrams display planets/comets that we have only discovered this century.

Then when you can accept that part of it (which is a 100% verified fact) ask could it not be possible that these people could know something we don't?

Seriously, thousands of years before we had half a clue about any of this stuff they could do a lot of it better than we can today.

Is it not conceivable that we've been missing something they knew about the whole time?

Solar flares are sometimes nasty. Maybe they knew it was a really big one? Perhaps it would knock out all the power on one side of the world for quite a while(and damage tons of electronic equipment)? That could certainly cause a major shift in the world.

Either that or its the date of global warming.

On Dec 21st 2012 I'm gonna head down to beach with a giant blunt and a 100gm pack of chips. It is there where I intend to watch some mad shit take place. If nothing does then at least I would feel like I've just eaten the sickest pack of chips ever!!
