Christ.

hahaha, seems like u are annoyed by my rant.. u really don't need to type out that entire explanation. I think that would help manzone and strong.. i would def wear potato sacks!!

yah,, i hate those fake rich yuppies.. .too much god damn money! i guess that makes me a insecure homo..

oh and i know i am retarded .. but you can keep reminding me !!

Once again disrespect towards others.

I am the farthest thing from a 'fake rich yuppie'

But sometimes I like to go out, dress up, and look super hot for the night (its a fun change from sneakers @ guvy)

I dont have the money to spend 800 dollars on a shirt, but I respect the fact that others do. People work hard for what they have, and when i make that kind of money Ill be wearing my $800 shirt.

And btw lots of those people arent wearing expensive clothes. You can shop at H&M or Forever 21 and still look like a million bucks.

PS. ALMOST 1 MONTH TILL LAWLER DESTROYS SKYBAR! Enjoy the renos while they last

Posted by Capo di tutti on May-27-2008 16:28:

How are they fake and rich but yet have "too much god damn money"

People can spend money on whatever they want, they can work at Tim Horton's and dress like a millionaire.

So I am assuming you don't wear name brands, so what can we call you "fake poor hippie"?

your "hate" really equals envy i believe, maybe they have something you want.

Assholes, bitches and douches come in all colors and classes.

Being a jerk judging people on how they dress is far worse then being a nice person in a overpriced pair of jeans.

Posted by jsibilin on May-27-2008 16:28:

i really hope u don't buy an $800 dollar shirt.. even if you have 100x that much money just sitting in the bank.. this whole nation is obsessed with material things,, i am saddened by it.. what ever happened to just feeling good about yourself without even caring what you have on????

how is this disrespect?? i completely miss your point (like always)

Have people thought that Education+good job+hard work= Money $$$
And if you are working hard you can reward your self with good clothes (can be designer/winners/h&m who cares), car, and yes even a house/condo. Such is life, STOP hating just because your a failure.

some people enjoy dressing up and spending money on how they look. its just a different mentality that people have. just cuz they have an $800 shirt on doesnt mean they dont feel good about themselves. your inability to recognize that fact makes you the ignorant one

Ignorance is Bliss.

The Greeks, Romans, even Jesus had favorite Sandal and Robe designers.LOL The Egyptians invented make up.

A materialistic is a person just like you, who makes judgments on appearance and labels, usually high maintenance people who look ok at best with alot of work and usually are very insecure.

A person who dresses nice, is not necessarily a materialistic person. They see what they like, they wear it, and are having a blast ripping it on the dancefloor, while you are in the backround picking people apart.

Ever hear that looking good is half feeling good.

If I have enough money I will do whatever I want with it. I work hard for my money. People deserve to spoil themselves.

But before you call me 'fake' I also donate to charities (especially sick kids), I am paying for my univeristy education, and all my living expenses.

So when I work a bit of overtime and have some extra money I treat myself to something nice. I deserve it. I cant wait till I can shop at Holt Renfrew, take my future family on 5-star vacations, and drive a Lexus.

Disrespect.... hmmmmm judging people that you dont even know.... Enough said.

Stop being an 'idiot' (im quoting you) and maybe you will get my points and maybe ill get yours.

Posted by jsibilin on May-27-2008 16:54:

I don't care where you shop,, feeling like a million bucks has nothing to do with what your wearing...

I may be envious (prob cause I'm broke and can't goto guv every damn weekend) but I still know how to have a good time without fancy clothes/cars/drugs.. It's like the entire crowd thinks their hot shit because they got expensive clothes..

i bought an armani shirt that was marked down from $400 bucks to about $120.. I was disgusted by myself for doing it and now i am just going to give it to charity!

i doubt u ppl will see my point

A lot of the crowd does think they are hot shit. Its the environment of the 'commercial scene' I was a part of it for long enough to know (sadly). But most these people arent wearing expensive clothes.. they are at GUV not Ultra Super Club or some swanky lounge in Yorkville.

Let these people have their fun. Stop judging.

Just because you are different doesnt mean you should hate.

Well safety first as well you don't need a painted floor that gets all slippery. The last thing you want is to trip and fall spilling your drink on one of those "fake rich yuppies" and have to pick up the dry cleaning tab...

If you want to dance there is other places at the guv you can do that. Skybar is about music and people (hot women) enjoying the outdoors!

and the HORN!

So fix that the only person stopping you from not being broke and having a good time is you.

You're paranoid dude. Who cares if the crowd(which they don't) thought that, i thought your there for the music? No fancy car?(TTC or Greyhound works)No Fancy Clothes?(read about vendors mentioned)Drugs?(if you can pay or get a spot of $10...well thats just bad)

Why did you buy an Armani shirt? not too fit in or for acceptance...no not you. I think your just bitter your Armani shirt didn't get you whatever it was you wanted.
i doubt u ppl will see my point
You are right

Posted by Capo di tutti on May-27-2008 17:06:

When i describe guv dress code to ppl, i say come in a 3 piece suit or a dirty beater it doesn't matter.

Posted by Intangible on May-27-2008 17:12:

Ohhh and Jesse

I hope you keep your shirt

As much as I dislike almost everything you say, Im sure you work hard for your money, and you deserve something nice as well.

Dont worry... wearing it will not make you fake

Material things do not make a person fake, its what they have inside that determines this...

wow, relax and stop worrying about others dude, honestly if you are not materialistic then stop looking at all the material things other people have... WHO REALLY GIVES A SHIT! like really? why do you care if people have the drugs/cars/and clothes if you know how to have fun with out all of it ...because all there trying to do is having fun, im sure there not running around counting what people have and what they don't and ranting about it to people over the internet.

and really would you want to go to Guvy every weekend ... I have a good time when i go because im very selective when im there, Toronto has alot to offer in this scene, im sure 90% of the people here including yourself know that.... so stop being bitter and let this thread get back to being about the skybar....

and really im impartial about the floor for various reasons, but considering it has to be maintained year round im sure they will do what ever is cost efficient....

also STEVE LAWLER is gunna bring that place to the ground, so there will be more renovations in july im sure
