thanks dude! luckily the movement festival this year had a bit of variety and not only TECHNO TECHNO TECHNO!

If not.. I would have probably come back single .

Jay - lol. Your texts were HA-larious. Wish you guys could have made it out to Temp Tats. Though I heard it ended an hour after we left. So not a big deal.

Posted by JayRP on May-29-2008 16:50:

yeah i know! throughout the whole weekend we really only got to hang out during like 20 minutes of moby' set.

Posted by MeLLyMeL on May-29-2008 17:00:

In the museum Thomas and I stayed put while you kept roaming around... HEY LOOK ITS JAYYY.. ok BYE JAAAAAAY.. Of course you guys were gonna get lost at a festival with 70,000+ ppl !!!!!

Before posting what I thought of Detroit and DEMF, I'll post some of my pictards.

the Red Bull stage

the festival was right on the water w/Ontario in plain view

the Real Detroit stage = underground rave den

This was near the Red Wings statium etc. don't think I've ever been to a city w/a MonoRail

Some of these pics almost make Detroit look like a real place and not a run down slum. Don't be fooled

This guy's custume WINS

Deadmau5 in the background at the Beatport stage spinning a remix of 'Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger'

Once it got dark enough he turned his suit on and everyone bugged out

ope! TA sighting

the Vitamin Water stage (main stage)

(cloudy on the last day) the space was a lot larger than i thought it'd be

center of the festival at night

I'll leave it to the rest of you to post pics of the other insane costumes people had on, the oxygen bar, the PS3 gaming stations, DJs, and of course, the Paxhau girls haha
. Will post a review and vids later.

by the way, anyone know what was up with those 'I <3 BLACK PEOPLE' shirts they were selling at the festival!?!??

Posted by MeLLyMeL on May-29-2008 17:25:

o shit i forgot about the oxygen bar......

i didn't bring a cam cuz i hate carrying shit especially during long festivals... & i must've have missed the shirts.

I bought a detroit soul tank top

edit - I also never made it to the real detroit and red bull stage! not my thing though real detroit stage was in a cool location.

'the way it works is...' >=P

it was 8 dollars for 10 minutes. each station had various 'flavors' or smells or WHATEVER you want to call them! and no they had tons and tons of tubes and the dude switched them for a new one after each use. however, you were encouraged to keep your tube cause if you brought it back you could go again for 2 dollars off.

lol that's crazy!

and what smells?

Posted by JayRP on May-29-2008 19:30:

uh let me think, each station had about 6, uh, smells, but each station was different from the others but basically you got things like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, lime, passionfruit, etc etc. i cant really remember what they were, i didnt pay enough attention. but they also all had some kind of decription too like "peace," "tranquility," or "sex appeal."

i dunno kinda gimmicky if you ask me,
but im always willing to try something new and will never pass up a funny photo op.
