Oh right, I'm not bald. That's why.

it's not just those 2 tracks, it was the whole set at DEMF. it was simply one of his best, too short, but one of his best!!!! and i've seen lee a ton and love him! i so wish i could fly home for his set and with richard opening, man, i just planned poorly! but lawler is saturday so that is a great consolation prize

have fun guys!!! as i know you will

The official Burridge pre-party. Just a short walk down the street from Swerve/Wetbar at Midcity Cafe (located on W Peachtree (one street over from Spring) & 8th). Come out for the pre-party and enjoy complementary free parking along the well lit streets, as you'll find ample spaces at that time of the evening. Also, we'll be having $2 Strega shots and $3 Sweetwaters.

Well, any reviews? I am not a big fan, but am curious if he played a good set?

Posted by iammesol on Jun-22-2008 22:32:

To be honest, Rich killed it far more than Lee did. Was an epic disappointment. I think Lee was playing with the mindset of a 6 hour set, but only had 2... so he didn't pick up the energy till the last 45 minutes.

He didn't play funky like that.

And he did in Charlotte... whatever.

Well, I'm sorry he didn't impress. I watched that video, and I just can't get into that style too much. It does seem like he gets into the music though. Did he not get into it here?

Posted by iammesol on Jun-23-2008 00:21:

He did. He's Lee Burridge. Happiest and most fun DJ I've ever seen play along with Danny Howells

And Zack, I hated that type of music till I went to see a DJ of that caliber with friends. It really makes a difference. You just understand what it is that makes people love it.

Posted by enydo on Jun-23-2008 00:27:

That's kinda rough man, sorry he didn't blow you away.

And I completely agree. A lot of that techier "pling plong" stuff, at least to me, is hard to kind of appreciate until you hear something like it live. Hearing it live though is quite the experience.

I actually had a great time at this show... I didn't show up until close to midnight but was listening to Rich's set on the radio from 11-12. I walk in and the first track I hear is a Stanton Warriors tune blasting and Alok jumping around being like "do you hear this???????" and right then I knew it was going to be a good night.

Between my friends at this show that I hadn't seen in a while and Lee's awesome set (IMO), I had a great experience. Seems a lot of people thought the show didn't stand up to their expectations, but I was talking to a friend earlier who also thought Lee spun a classic Lee-type set and also enjoyed it. Anyhow I had a great time and good seeing those of you who showed up!

i thought the music was excellent, and being the only one (thus far) who has been able to go back and listen to the sets from the night :-) i am doubly sure it was great and classic Lee.
