That whole thing with Pierce was odd as well - I didn't think it looked too bad and wasn't surprised to see him back so quick, but he definitely looked hurt late in the game.

Great game but to be honest, that Pierce injury looked a tad staged. From the way he left the court, he really didn't look in the best of shape to even come back for the game but he does somehow finding the energy to make very tough plays. Maybe I'm a bit too cynical but it just looked like he left, waited for the crowd to build up and came back to give his team that extra boost.

But I could be wrong and he could be really hurting tomorrow and was just successfully hiding his injury.

No, I think that's obviously a possibility - but the way he was kind of limping a bit more towards the end of the fourth quarter made me think it was possibly a bit more serious.

The back to back 3's from Pierce kind of made me question the injury but you're right, he was hurting in the end.

And that dunk from Garnett from that missed 3 was beyond awesome. And I've always hate Garnett since his Minnesota years.

*does a turn around fade away in the thread*

Either way if his intent was to inspire his team and motivate the crowd to get a win, then he did the job very well.

I HATE listening to him on the radio, the way he calls games is confusing as hell.

"Billups with the 18 footer" so you start to think that he made it
6 seconds later.
"off target, but McDyess with the PUTBACK!!"
4 seconds later.
"and that rims out, Garnett grabs the rebound and theyre heading back down the court."

This guy...

used to copy off of me in German class back in high school. Who cares? Who need German when you going to be in the NBA? Never thought I'de see the guy make it to the NBA. Well, he was scoring like 40 something points in a game and was our school's highest scoring player ever. SO I'm not surprised.

Holy shit, small fuckin world, eh?

I haven't caught shit in terms of actually watching the games, bought I hear B-town is layin it down. The Lakers have had their share this decade, let Bean Town take it I say. Though I can't deny Kobe's fucking awesomeness. He's no Jordan, but he's the closest we may ever see.

I did a Gatorade ad with a guy that used to play pro basketball. The best bit was when he was talking about his early days and casually mentioned that him and Michael Jordan were drafted to the Bulls together and were actually room mates
Then after our shock subsided we asked him if he still talks to Jordan and he casually goes "Yea, I speak to him regularly. I try and visit him whenever I'm in the States to catch up". Crazy.

Hopefully he didn't copy off of you in English class.

Lakers by 7.

Celtics win tonight, a sweep will feel imminent, and I want a nice long series.

Posted by Ygrene on Jun-11-2008 02:55:

Decent game so far!

Posted by Sykonee on Jun-11-2008 02:58:

LA's been getting to the line tons tonight. Make-up calls from the game before, mayhaps? Heh, doesn't matter, though, when even your best player is missing nearly half of 'em.
