ps. Toronto does have THE scene! like no other city in the World. fuck the politics, fuck the crybabies! Thank you Dave for showing us what love and house music are about. Thank you for giving me a chance to meet hundreds and hundreds of people who CARE, LOVE, FIGHT and DANCE TO THE BEAT!

much love. and never stop fighting!

so a delayed review:

as mentioned earlier it was at full capacity when we got there, waited a little bit, then finally got in.

The music was good but it was packed inside, however it wasn't too difficult to find some small pockets where you could dance, considering we were right up front.

i didn't know what to expect of guido schneider, at all. but i thought he played very well, it was a very good set, lots of energy and it kept you moving, great stuff.

i'm glad i went to this d2db because it really meant something to me. i wanted to do something to support the fight against cancer. sadly, a friend of my family, and a true gentleman lost his fight against cancer the night of d2db3.

p.s:

dave, keep thrwing these parties and i'll keep coming

and lots of love to everyone i saw that night !

Wow. Wow. Wow.

You want to talk about a good vibe?

We (15+ people) showed up early, around 9:30, and got in without waiting. There were maybe 30 people there when we walked in, I turned to get a drink and all of a sudden the place was packed.

The tunes were great. I could elaborate, but I don't think I need to. Well done everyone. I missed Jon's set, but if it was anything like the set the roaches turned out it was wall-to-wall goodness.

It got bloody HOT in there later on and I too noticed the indoor rain. The heat and humidity inside was a good thing, it FELT like a party.

I could have done without the DVDs of the cancer survivors and victims. I know that it's all tied to the cause (my mom had breat cancer, for the record) but I stopped to watch it for a bit and it kind of killed my buzz a little, too heavy imo.

Barbina...I missed you again. You could totally have checked my boobies.

Ended up leaving around 5ish and things were still cooking. I was amazed to find that 7 hours had vanished so quickly.

All in all, excellent party, one of the best nights at FW ever!
Thanks, love and support to all those responsible for making this event the stellar night that is was.

***Anyone know how much was raised for the cause?***

Wowzers.

Loving these reviews

I'll do one myself real soon with a total figure

i took sunday off to go on the boat and hang with friends and enjoy the day

i'll do some number crunching later... but after expenses

we're looking at around....

5-6 thousand

which for a night of partying, dancing, having fun for a great reason... is more then i could have EVER expected.
....

ps, as for the pictures of the survivors of cancer, let me just rectify.. it wasn't that, it was actually pictures of my mom for my set. it was a dedication set and i wanted her to be there to here, she can't be present in body... so i figure an image would satisfy me... i knew she was there in spirit and every track i threw down was aimed at her for some deep subliminal message (in example, dreams by stevie nicks (deep dish) was the repeating of "listen to the sound" for her to listen carefully to the sounds and words in the set)

I apologize if it sent you down a trip down memory lane, but that kind of was the point... no reason to kill your buzz friend, you can remember good times, regret the bad... and live for the moment. I miss my mom huge, trust me, seeing her pic ripped me up more then anyone in there... but it served a purpose, a reason to why i was there.

I always tell people who say they came to support me, support the people you lost to cancer, those who are fighting, those who beat it.. those who will. The video was my way of remember why i do this, why i go to dance 2 da beat... why i created it.

as much as people think I created the event for me and im behind the event, nah man, you're looking at the reason, the creator, the inspiration when you looked up.

again apologize if it hit u the wrong way,

but maybe if you knew why it was there... you could have appreciated it for what it was and not what it made you think of.

also, my condolenses of your mom... but remember the good times, appreciate the time you had with her and not all the time you lost....

i had my mom for 24 years of my life..... 24 years i wouldn't give back for anything on world, i miss her.... but appreciate that time and those moments more then anything in this world.

sorry, she HAD to be there.

Ace

REVIEW coming later, still wipppppped

but wanted to respond to that.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!
people dancing, and loving, and fighting...together as one~!

Dave's set was incredible...i loved it! I wanted him to play all night (sorry, no offense to everyone else) Dave, you touched my soul..........and at the end..."that's what friends are for"...the entire room was signing, and swaying and hugging..it was simply beautiful...some of us were crying...but happy tears!

D2DB...i can't wait for the next one already!

FUCK CANCER! WE'LL WIN....IF WE KEEP FIGHTING!

A great night indeed ...

Got there at 11, got right in, no waiting whatsoever, awesome, first good sign of a good night.

Got in, the place was packed, beats were going crazy, tunes were incredible, the crowd was on fire.

As mentioned previously, it was crazy hot and sweaty, holly smokes, I was soaked from top to bottom by the time I got outta there;

all in all, phenomenal night, good to see so many people come out to support the cause, Cheers to you and to all those behind organizing and making this happen.
