verndogs: done

onto the game...

what do you want me to say? we sucked ass today. no one played good. no one. not ballack, not podolski, not klose, no one. jansen is the reason we lost. if he wouldnt of consistently sucked croatias dick, we would of atleast gotten a draw. the second goal by croatia was just terrible luck for us... but hey thats how it goes sometimes. podolski really isnt playing too well this tournament either, i guess sitting on the bench all season at bayern munich is finally catching up to him. and yes, i realize he has 3 goals, but every goal was pretty much handed to him. losing schweinsteiger is the biggest lose from today i think.

so theres no way we can win the group now right? if germany beats austria (i would fucking hope so!) and poland beats croatia, we still dont win it right? i always thought it was the goal differential that mattered, and i guess it is for the world cup, but whats the tie-breaker for the euro cup?

looks like we'll be eliminated in the quaters against portugal...

Nope, it goes on win/loss record against the other team I believe. Oh wait, or does it count for/against goals first

The refs were a bit all over the shop at times, like giving possession to the wrong team or giving Modric the yellow. Wtf was that all about???!!?!

Even though my teams are Germany and then Spain I have to give it to Croatia. I was very impressed with Modric as I have been for some time now, and Bilic is really an amazing and inspirational coach. Hats off

It's funny reading the English press and how excited Tottenham fans are getting about him. I personally still thinks he has a lot to prove but he's growing on me.

Pranjic has been a total shock. Went from being a bit wobbly in the first game to a bit of a gun in the second.

Croatia have won the group, the first tie-breaker if Germany ends with the same points as them is yesterday's game. Goal difference is only the second tie-breaker.

Wonderful game! Croatia were impressive as Germany's defence were in tatters. Some of the clearing at the back was really poor, not what you'd expect from zee Germans.

Modric's footwork and pace showed in this game and played an important part, actually Croatia as a whole were great. People tend to underestimate Croatia but ive always been wary of their strong strikers and tough defenders just ask the English and even to mention they beat Italy in WC2002.

I have no doubts that Germany will overcome Austria in the last game so it will be the two going through.
