officiating was fuckin woeful. How can they say toni was offside for that goal when he's a yard behing the defender.

I wonder what excuse uefa will come up with for this one

I really feel for Mutu. He's really come into his own these past couple of years, and after the whole coke thing with Chelsea, he's easily one of the best players in Italy at the moment. His finish was brilliant (Barcelona fans will be happy to see the back of Zambrotta after such a blatant giveaway), but the penalty was poorly taken, and you could see he was just out of it after that.

I've been so impressed with Romania this tournament, and I hope they give Holland a run for their money, but as I'm still hoping for France and Holland make it out of this group, I hope Holland take the three points and France take it to Italy in the final group game. Overall, great match!

I completely agree. The ref did absolutely horrible job with this game and without question cost Italy 2 more points here.. The Toni goal was just plain obvious. The ball was clearly out before Luca was ahead of the line, just a plain ridiculous call. And then the call on Panucci for the penalty. If you are going to call a game.. call it fucking FAIR!! We saw Quagliarella get pulled down in the box later in the 2nd half, same thing as Panucci (Arm around the body) and no call!! WTF!! Then that bullshit with De Rossi in stoppage. He clearly got the ball on that sliding tackle in mid-field but gets the yellow for the challenge. Someone should give that Norwegian prick who was reffing a copy of the rule book.. Piss it, now we gotta beat France and pray for a Romanian loss at the Dutch.. Ohh DEJA VU (EURO 2004 Anyone??)

Tough match Romania had a resliant defence that held up for most portions of the match. It's Italy's finishing skills that are not making the goals count because the creativity is there even though it's no way on the same level as the dutch.

Like most others I believe Toni's goal was onside and should've stood however thats football and we must go into the France game for the kill. Happy about the formation and players he chose compared to the Holland game. He should use the same for the France match, any different and we will lose!

The azzurri are known to perform under extreme pressure so I can see them pulling it out even if its only by a scrappy goal.
