I love to eat.
Your metabolism will start to slow down every 10% per decade, after age 30. Eating is a necessity, however, don't deprive yourself of any foods you may enjoy in moderation, so don't overdo it. Remember, eating healthy is a lifestyle, not a choice.
i live to eat because i love food, but i don't always eat junk. i cook myself pretty well balanced meals almost every night. like pasta and chicken or stir fry. i rarely eat fast food...maybe once every 3-4 months i'll grab some arby's or something. then after i eat it, i'm like UGHH.

I definetly eat a combination of junk food and healthy food, swaying more towards healthy. I'll normally keep an eye over the course of the day what I'm eating, just to make sure it's all in moderation, but I never go OTT, except for Friday's, that's normally pig-it-out night in the household here.

No. I feel sorry for people that can't go and enjoy a good meal, because it's "oooooo, too many calories" or something similar. I can't imagine going through my life with that mindset. |
Yeah well some fatties have no choice. Sucks to be them.
yea people like that usually don't have high metabolism so it's easy for us skinnies to say that.
i'm lucky to have high metabolism and thankful that i don't really have to count calories every time i want to eat something. and i doubt it will be slowing down ever. i take after my dad with that...he is tall and lean still even at 56. and he eats pretty much the same way i do. he jogs a mile almost every day in the morning or on his lunch break
my mom looks pretty good too. she is 5'3 and weighs about 130, so i got good genes.
I really don't eat much. I mostly just eat out of necessity. Skipping a meal just cause I was working isn't uncommon for me. I have a high metabolism that I am really glad to have.
Your metabolism WILL slow down though. That's just physiological fact. And skipping meals doesn't help. Eating regularly actually keeps your metabolism up, helps your body digest the right stuff, and most importantly, gives you energy. Otherwise your body just uses up the energy from your muscles for fuel...and it uses fat cells last.

| Originally posted by jennypie It is, truly...nutrition experts don't just make this shit up. I never used to eat right, and as a result was always hungry. Now I always eat a big breakfast full of stuff that'll keep me full, like whole grains and protein and fruit! I usually eat a big breakfast, a big lunch, and something light at dinner time. Healthy snacks in between and drink lots of water. I try to buy low sodium everything, and stay away from stuff that's loaded with sugar. Oh and protein shakes! Good for after a workout or when I don't have time for a meal or need a snack. |

| Originally posted by pierre_escargot No doubt, I had a friend who would always skip breakfast and end up either over-eating at lunch or snacking on crap food as the morning went on. He ended up gaining weight as a result. A combination of wrong food at the wrong times = flab. |

Originally posted by gehzumteufel ![]() Wrong. The reason that breakfast is the most important meal of the day really has nothing to do with nutrition. For a host of reasons it should be a very healthy meal, but, the key reason it is the most important, is because it is the meal that jump starts your metabolism, which sets the stage for your energy consumption for the whole day! No breakfast in the morning, usually results in a sluggish metabolism and a lethargic mood. |
i usually just grab a banana out the door and have coffee so by 11:30 i'm starving. and i always get subs and sandwiches for lunch with the occasional chinese or pizza order when my boss pays. i get so excited and happy to eat. when i know i'm gonna eat something good i rub my hands together lol my friends always make fun of me.
omg speaking of food, i'm about to inhale this pizza with fresh basil and mushrooms on it
Yeah I get excited about eating too. I'm such a grumpy cunt when I don't eat, lol.

i can go for long periods of time without eating and a lot of the time I eat specifically to fuel my body (such as after a workout) but other times its to indulge in the sheer pleasure of it. it depends on how I feel.
yea me too.
my ex was the worst. omg. he would sit there and fucking gripe and pout and i would be like, "dude what's your problem?" and he would be like, "just dont talk to me until i eat" and i'd be like fine asshole. now i'm just like that lol
Shit, I can't find this clip from What About Bob...
It's the scene where they're all at the dinner table and Bob is like "MMMMMMMMMMMMM! MMMMMMMMMMMM this is fantastic Mrs. M! MMMmmMMMmmmmmmmmmmmMMMMMM!" as he's eating fried chicken and corn. I'm totally like that when I eat something really tasty.
