on a trip to buenos aires there was a stray dog that was just sleeping. when the bell rang alerting the train coming, he quickly woke up and ran to the rail and sat down exactly at the spot where the door landed when the train stopped. he walked in and went back to sleep. every stop he would put his head up to look out the door, and put it back down to sleep some more. finally after a few stops, it seemed like he knew it was his stop, and he got out of the train and just ran up the stairs just like any other regular person. i thought it was cool as shit.
a guy was ordering stuff on his cell phone. he said his credit card information pretty loud. the guy sitting next to me wrote it down. when he got off the phone he handed him the sheet of paper and asked, 'i wonder how many other people have your information now?'

in 2004 on the washington DC metro, i saw this arab guy in middle eastern dress taking 928492347234 pictures of the inside of the train car using a huge SLR camera.

This black dude on the bus was yelling at all these old white people who were trying to ignore him. Then the black lady bus driver said "Hey shut up or I'll kick you off the bus!" The black dude was like "You wanna fight? Let's walk outside!" and she was like "okaaay" and pulled the bus over. She opened the door, he got off expecting her to come out and fight. But instead closed the door behind him and drove off. I LOLed my ass off.

i actually remmeber a time now, when i was in germany...we were going to Dachau and had to take the public busses to get there...well, all the american students get on this bus, and the A/C was broke or something...so all the windows were open...it was july...kinda hot...and all the german students were standing there, holding onto the bars above them....pits exposed. the smell was kind of bad...but then more and more people kept getting on, and i'm like, "wtf they're cramming us in here and taking us to a concentration camp! 
" was kind of a weird moment.

the rule of thumb on public transportation is that if the seats are made of felt or cloth they have been pissed and shitted on. Where I live they bought all these new busses with new seats made of fabric and instantly there are more piss stains on them than anything in the world. then they have the monorail and where the monorail is there is piss and shit on everything and then they wanna expand it to the upper class neighborhoods meaning all those bums are gonna harvest around the train lines.
weirdest thing I have seen on public transportation is a dude shot in the head. it was like 3 or 4 am a few years back and I got on the 82 westheimer and some dude had a hospital bracelet on with a bullet hole in his head.
oh man, further proof Adelaide public transport sucks.
Can't think of anything strange happening to me.
Even the weirdos are smart enough not to catch public transport here
This has been a standard defacement on Sydney trains since half of forever (and no, I've not seen it happen)
There was this guy, who I honestly don't know what he was thinking that just wanted off the bus after missing his stop or something. Forced open the centre door and just jumped off, at about 40km/h and smacked into a metal light pole and there was this resounding *GONG* noise when he hit.
Don't think he died.
Just didn't get up...

Two summers ago coming home from a night class, I transferred downtown and got on the bus home, took a seat facing the front of the bus and after like 10 minutes I noticed (through a fuzzy reflection in the window) that the man behind me was periodically leaning forward to smell my hair.

Pleaaaaase keep these stories coming.
My list:
- A guy trying to pick up this girl only to find out the sleeping guy next to her is her boyfriend.
- Everyone on the bus at one point had to give up their seat because a legion of those crazy old ladies that wear bright purple gowns/dresses and huge red hats got on the bus.
- On a night bus I saw a drunk guy begging the bus driver to let him get off and take a piss then get back on, finally the bus driver lets him and all the guy did was open the doors and while still inside the bus piss out of it.
- Seen a girl on the metro with McDonald's puke, then continue eating her food.
- Gotten on a bus full of bus drivers, and a metro full of metro drivers.
- Once saw a huge group of g-thugs blocking the stairs leading off the platform on the green line here, and if anyone tried to push past them they'd just shove them and then talk shit. The funny part was there were other staircases, so we all just went up an alternate stair case and as I was going up I saw a small army of police and metro cops heading down the "blocked" stair case.
We had one of those buses not long back with the sliding doors in the middle of the bus and a pole to hang onto right down the centre next to the doors. The driver was going like a bat out of hell (must have been late or something), the doors didn't close properly and this poor old lady with her handbag was holding onto the pole for dear life, the driver sped round a corner and the bottom of the woman's body flew out the door while still gripping onto this pole for dear life.
