Unfortunately no Trance at Beach club since the Sundance Music Festival 2 years ago! That was pretty nice, Sandra Collins, Second Sun, Nick Pilon, Phynn & 4Strings. And that was just the saturday!

I wouldn�t mind seeing a Trance party on the beach again! But it's not in the works!

I really enjoyed Sandra's set that day...the sound in the tent was awesome!!!

I've never been there either. This summer is the summer I'm gonna break the spell and check it out.

What sorta music should I be expecting? If there's no trance, then what... house? techno? hiphop? polka?

Two sections: Hip Hop and usually House.

So no polka? Damn

You may hear some tribal from Victor Calderone at BC, but he plays a lot of tech house tracks like what you hear in that Mazone & Strong set now. Because it's outdoors, daytime and at BC, he may drop some tribal tracks.. or more likely some techy tribal.

maNzone and strong, can't forget the 'N'.. or some TOTA's gonna go all Greyhound on me

I was there last year and honnestly Manzone and Strong played the best set of the day. A great suprise for me. A lot of tech tracks, very little cheese (compared to the ther DJs... MV and Bad Boy Bill sucked big time...even Eddy Jasmin played so so..)

I'm still debating whether I should drive an hour, spend money on gas + drinks at the bar or just pack my cooler, take a 15-minute metro, and go see Thomas Shumacher and local techno pioneer Mateo Murphy at piknic for $5.. Ibiza's line-up is pretty tempting though... Calderone, Danny Torrence, Viv and Anstasia...these guys never fail.

Maybe electronic music hasn't advanced in Ottawa, but in the rest of Canada it sure has.

Stop complaining about tribal. Nobody really plays it anymore. If you want to complain about the lack of tribal, shoot Victor Calderone a myspace message, see what he says...

Anyway, are there any buses going up to Beach Club...me and my boys are taking the train to Montreal (the drive back from Montreal after partying is hell)...so obviously we won't have a car...

I still love tons of other music all the way from Chris Liebing/Sven Vath till Lawler/Dubfire to Kaden to Digweed...

I thought I saw 1230 and 2PM from downtown on Facedownbook. There's a shuttle from Ottawank too.
