not really

the ref killed it with the red card, but he had no choice

abidal = IDIOT

Why the hell do that at that stage of the game. Had it been the 85th minute ok but in the beginning of the first half simply makes no sense at all.

Posted by noikeee on Jun-17-2008 19:42:

France are fucked.

Yeah I'd much rather let the Italians have their goal and at least play the remainder of the game with 11 men, rather than risk the wrath of the referee's red and a penalty conceded.

France really have no chance now.

I feel sorry for poor Nasri, the guy only got 16 minutes.

We are lucky with only 1-0 at half time. So many opportunities missed by Toni makes me think the game is not over yet

I hope this means the end for Raymond Domenech. Woeful squad selection from the beginning of the tournament (and even in call-ups, see Trezeguet) meant that when he actually put out a proper line-up, it was already too late.

And don't even get me started on Abidal. I hope Barca offload him this summer.

I'm expecting more AMAZING from David Villa to put Italy away in the quarters (see his goal against them in the friendly earlier this year).

And then, to top it all off, images of Cassano in whitey-tighties at the end celebrating put me off my dinner.

God damn French

Posted by Fledz on Jun-17-2008 21:35:

Domenech is a disgrace of a manager. Fire his ass before he even gets home.

A French John Holmes, which is fitting, because Domenech is a big walking talking penis.

France had a really bad day, even their bus driver screwed up pretty badly. No wonder the players were a little shook up

Hahah, I saw that. Fucking stupid. I bet the driver was Domenech. I mean, this is a guy that picks his team based on what star sign the players are, no wonder they played like pants.

Posted by The_G0dfather on Jun-18-2008 00:54:

yeah like why the f did he take nazri of, they had two goals to score !

Posted by fcuk on Jun-18-2008 01:07:

Not a bad game as entertaining wise. Ribery was a huge blow to France leaving almost the work to Benzema and Henry, that midfield link was the missing key.

Toni keeps frustrating although showing he had plenty of opportunities to score im sure it will come sooner or later. Cassano instead of Del Piero worked out to be better and losing Pirlo for Spain is a heavy blow for us.

Perhaps if ribery was on field for the rest of the game the scoreline might've been different im sure of it, but at the end of the day Italy always just does enough to scrape through. And last but not least a big thank you to Holland for beating Romania to make us qualify.

Bring on Spain
