If I had to use a shotgun, I would have a Benelli M2 with Shredder ballistic shells. Had the fortune of using one of those to blow a door off it's henges a couple of times.

Which I could have done that. But I've only had the pleasure of smashing doors of their hinges using my shoulder.

The expression on the person's face receiving the warrant is a little better when there is shotgun blast involved. That was the only weapon where we were required to wear earplugs

I just got locked out of my house by a bum, so I needed to get back in.

An 8 year old can also shoot a 22 like it's nobody's business. In a situation inside your home, the distance you will be from your target is virtually irrelevant of what type of gun you are using. And it takes more than 30 minutes to learn how to use a gun properly.....

Issue isn't pulling the trigger, issue is being able to handle the gun. I.E - moving with the gun, moving the gun in the right direction, hitting your target, and handling the recoil in case a second or third shot is needed. A 4 foot gun with a 28" barrel is not easy to do that for most people. Something with a 4" barrel is.

Then again, you should know this already.....

If my 5'6" friend can sweep rooms properly with a SAW I'm pretty sure most people can handle a 590 with a pistol grip.

*Laugh at the the thought of most people on here manning a 14" benelli with Federal tactical rounds. Might be a few dislocated shoulders.*

Those are cool. But the bullpup design is something hard to get used to if you are used to m4/ar15 type weapons.

You're 5'6" friend also does it on a regular basis shooting jihad mofo's. And can shoot bolts of lighting out of his arse.
