That was exactly what I felt was a minus about ETT. It was influenced by electro.
And we all know how good Tegma and Ticons albums were due to being influenced by electro.

ETT was MUCH better than both Tegma's and Ticon's albums. There are only 2 tracks which I can't say I like and those are In Control and Isolation. Forever Imaginary is also a bit cheesy. But all others are quite good. While on both other albums there are 2-3 decent tracks.

Archipelago and Selected Downbeats Vol 1 are both great.

Oh yeah def. Tegmas and Ticons albums were junk apart from about 1 or 2 tunes between them. Vertical is the best track on ETT, maybe In Control too, but thats about it. One good track, the rest not so good, on Archipelago, all good tracks, maybe one not quite so good.

Why bother with these fucking retards? Just let them be.

Are we talking about Tegma - Lo-Fi Adventures being electro infused btw? I've only heard Encoded / Decoded as of yet.

Truth is that whilst their music is good, there is nothing groundbreaking about it. When i first heard "Archipelago" i got the impression that someone got segments from various 90s and/or 00s Digweed/Sasha/Warren albums and placed them over a typical but slower goa kick ( accompanied by the standard progressive-style "woosh" effects and echoing noises). I mean the best track IMO- "Seven Days To Daylight" sounds like someone got a loop from a 90s Robert Miles or BBE track ("Seven Days and One Week" anyone?) and put it over a hypnotic goatic bit, "Sweet September" sounds like a very standard post-00s Digweed/Sasha/Silver Planet style progressive track, "Reservoir" the same (although very hypnotic and nice), whilst ambient tracks like "Tierra Azul" sound like something out of a "Cafe Del Mar" compilation, and probably reside more on the cheesy-downtempo side of things rather than to serious ambient.

So, summing-up, whilst the production and the structure of the tracks is very good, they somehow lack the special soulful twist and original idea that make the magical difference between great and very good. Its like they got some very standard ideas and presented them in a "clinical and polished" way. At times i think that the current album was more "hype" and "frontcover" rather than actual substance. Still, though, whislt the current album suffers from all the criticisms that all trance and progressive (nowadays) do, it is still a very good trippy, danceable, hypnotic and atmospheric album, and i guess that it can sound great to someone who isn't much exposed to a lot of previous progressive and trance (plus, it is definitely much better in comparison to the majority of current "minimal" stuff...meh). So, yes, this is not the 90s or the start of the 00s, but it is overall good.

Listen to Lo Fi Adventures then tell me that Around The World In 80 Minutes isnt 100x better.

Think you shouldn't make a comparison, they're too different for that

Lime structure takes the cake, archipelago doesn't come close tbh.

Anyway

Perfect Stranger - Ode Oa Sol (Vibrasphere Remix)
Antix - Circade (Hyzer Remix)

By the way forgot to mention my favorite Vibrasphere ambient track -> Abra. I just love that "walking through the forest" feel it has.

they did a decent remix of one of my favorite trance songs of all time

Son Kite - Let Us Be
