Here's my two cents....saw AVB in ATL and Orlando recently. Both shows were FANTASTIC (coming from a mid-age she-trancer that dances too much, which results in natural highs proud to say!). Unless you're on the fence about AVB, I think you won't be disappointed. So what if he's "mainstream". If you like or don't like the music, it's a personal choice. It comes down to being tolerant about what other people like without being offensive. Have a great time and stay safe!

Armin didn't sign my AvB action figure bro. Do you have any idea how that made me feel?

I'll be sure to cum in his eye while I'm at it, leaving him unable to ever DJ again.

Wow... That leads me to believe one of 2 things.. Either your friend is AVB or they were standing right next to AVB copying the text straight from the CDJ screens..

I mean, Unless you are getting this info directly from AVB.. Aren't these big dogg top 100 guys suppose to be playing at least some prereleased stuff we have no clue about yet? |
I think you missed the point.. The point is that nobody should ever have the time nor the mindset while at a show they spent $40+ bucks to walk through the door of just to sit there & right down an entire 32 set tracklist complete with Remixes..
Not to mention the fact that, unless they are standing right there next to AVB nobody should be able to guess an entire sets tracklisting..
If some random DJ knows every track another dj played at a show.. That sucks even if you are a local DJ, much less A top 100 DJ in the world!...
How many people were at that show by the way?? Tiny Trance market?? Seems to me the Trance Guys have been packing the joint in Central FL (EG. PVD,AVB,TIESTO).. Regardless, it should make no difference.. A "worldclass" dj should come to every gig with their "A" game..
P.S. I hope this doesnt come off as negative towards you or anybody who attended. Just pointing out a few things.
Must be something about AVB that the people that hate him most cannot stop talking about him
they're called trainspotters and aren't that uncommon. they'll just stand in front of the booth looking liek they're not having any fun whatsoever, just staring at armin at every single movement he does and taking notes.

I mean I'm a dj, I could see knowing a few when they come on.. But every last one!..
Finally, someone agrees, Armin is the electronic music equivalent of Brittney Spears!
Once again man, who cares what you think???
I posted a TL from a show in Orlando, I would assume it's accurate (or somewhat close). Either way you can look at any of his other recent TL's and see similar tracks being played. If you like those tracks, go to the show and have a blast. If not, stay home. IMO, stay home and chat on message boards...I have a feeling you do alot better there.

Might be lucky if I hear 4 or 5 that I can partially Identify... |
I'm so stoked! I saw Armin @ Space last time and he rocked! Just wished he had played more high energy trance
Ever since the Amphitheater shut down
it's rare we get to listen to a good trance set in Tampa. Santoro has revived the trance scene by bringing big name DJs to Green Iguana. Not the best venue but all the sound equipment and cryo-air blasts has been transferred over from AMP to GI. The only thing it lacks is a spinning dance floor
The place is going to be packed like sausage just as when Ferry was there a few months back. I can't wait!!!
Armin has gone mainstream a bit, like Tij and Ferry, so I'm a little disappointed since I like the hard pounding high energy 160bpm stuff. But IMO, their mainstream stuff is still better than 90% of the stuff out there. To each his own...if you like good music, great atmosphere, and happy crowd, then go and have a great time. Otherwise, just stay at home but all the trance hating DJ bashing is really unnecessary. Isn't there enough negativity in the world today? I for one will take full advantage of the opportunity to go and listen to any kind of trance and share the experience with my friends and cut up the rug. Colleen, I will see you there! Hope you haven't changed your hair since last time I saw you
