i disagree to that again. obsession to technical skills does rarely ruin anything (except for BT but hes burned out). also we dont have any more crap around today than before, infact i think the oposit. the general level of music is pretty high today, we just miss those realy great few tracks that makes it as classic. and that has nothing to do with the productions itself, it has to do with money and time. imo

In my opinion, there is too many good technical but not creative producers out there.

and thats beacuse all you need is a computer, headfones and internet to get going. everyone and their mother tryes to make music now. just like myself. i could never make "music" if it werent for the discovery of reason. i had cubase hundreds of years ago but i couldnt make a single sound out of it. this was before VST if i remember right, think it was called cubasis actualy a stripped version somehow, so only included "plugins" worked but i couldnt figure it out. i had a casio keyboard but i realy didnt understand what the fuck midi was. and no way was i going to read anything about it, so i started djeing instead.
