have you gone into the device manager yet?

(control panel)

it should list every bit of hardware registered on your lappy. It could be as simply of a fix as checking a box.

Dell has 10-20% off until Monday with their end of financial year sales.
Buy a new one.

No! This one is only 6 months old! And, Dell components are crap for the most part.

But mine has Centrino's, I don't see how they could break as it nearly weighs more than I do

Awkward phrasing there Lilith

But yes, he would be at the top of my human sacrifice hit-list.

i had to wiki 'centrino'. lol nerds.

quote:

the Centrino program were used as illegal, anti-competitive practices by Intel to induce its customers not to buy laptop chips from Intel's long time rival AMD. In the quarter immediately following the JFTC ruling, AMD boasted more than 60 laptop computer design wins which was a strong resurgence from the [1] drastic share reductions seen in 2003 and 2004.

To qualify for a Centrino label, laptop vendors must use all three Intel qualified parts under each platform, otherwise using only the processor and chipset will carry the Pentium M, Pentium Dual-Core, Celeron, Intel Core or Intel Core 2 label instead.

So totally agree with you on that one. You know the shift key? Should be nice and long, huh? So your finger hits it nice and easy? Well, my right shift key is a tiny thing, the same size as the others. Slightly to the right of it (ie. the next key along) is the up arrow. FUCKING PISSES ME OFF. I want uppercase, not to jump to the line of text above what I'm typing

idiots. user interface is one of the most important components of a PC. i hate badly designed tv/dvd remotes as well. things need to be in logical spots, so you can learn them and work them in the dark.
