I got there a little early, so I didn't have much of a line to wait in. I think two lines sounds like a good idea so people who already have tickets and are on guestlist can get in quicker.

I'm not sure about the dancers. I was standing by one of the boxes they were dancing on most the time. I saw this one guy pretty much push her off when he got up there acting like a moron. There were some girls getting up there dancing and I thought they were better than the hired help. When the dancer came back though, she was telling the girls they couldn't be up there. One of the girls must have been pretty drunk, she pretty much fell off the box onto me getting down. So, I guess the one problem is them keeping some of the other people from having fun. Keeping some of the idiots off there isn't a bad thing though. I can't say I really mind them being there.

I definately agree with u about the stage. I've only been to one other event there when I saw Ferry Corsten and I spent the whole time up there. It is a good get away from the floor. Do you really think BT had a problem with people being up there?

I worked for AT&T when the first iPhone launched and still believe I have a more functionable, dependable phone with better features than either of them... and it's $50 with a 2yr contract

This is only temporary. The front video room is going through some construction on the roof right now and it is closed off until done. The clubs GM was actually out front doing the online list for awhile where people who had bought tickets could bypass the line.

This was only for last night. Its been open for every other show except infected mushroom and junkie xl.

There are tons of changes going on that is going to make the club even better then it is. We are getting ready to close for a few weeks and do a complete remodel to the entire place which is really going to enhance every aspect in a positive way.

Alright this is going to be a WILD shot, but I was wondering if anyone could ID a song. It was played in the first half of his set. The very beginning of it sounds just like the beginning of Tegan and Sara - Back In Your Head remix. The same instrumental sound, not the same tune. And then it was at least a 5 minute song of a rather simple chord progression.

Any guesses?

I really don't have any sympathy for you trying to go on opening day.

Also, those geniuses have given me nothing but magic.

We've all stated our dislike of the short set time, but I have a question that's been on my mind. Do djs just pretty much start and stop whenever they feel like it? It seems like there would be a schedule for them to go by. Looking back at the PVD show where he played about an hour and a half , the Tiesto show last year where he was expected to spin for 4+ hours, but cut it back quite a bit and then this one where he goes on at 1230 and stops just after two. What determines when they start and end? My respect for Armin was really raised when he went on just before 12 and played until like 2:58. I thought that was awesome for him to play such a long set. Anybody have any idea?

They are billed for a certian amount of hours, usually including the start and end time. I'd like to hear from Devin what happens when the artist does not adhere to this, however.

They usually get booked again the next year as... punishment?

Sure, I guess.

In certain cases, the only people getting the punishment would be the people who attend the show.

It was the whole remix he played.....just very different than the original. I still want to know what remake of imagine he opened with

Armin gets a lot of respect in my book for playing from 11:45ish until 2:55ish.

So many DJs that come through now are getting on closer and closer to 1 and trying to get off closer and closer to 2:30...I just don't get it. I know Atlanta isn't exactly paradise...but come on...a lot of people show up wanting to have a good time expecting to hear a certain DJ's style, but end up getting confused when 12:30 rolls by and the opening DJ is still spinning.

I've always thought ~3 hours was the standard.

I am still confused about PvD this past March...and still confused about Tiesto way back from last September...two really good sets...but really short sets.
