as i teenager i was smart enough to realize i wasn't smarter than everyone else but at the same time i wasn't dumb...i argued with adults a lot though.

I discovered society when I was a teen, so to speak.

I was a nerdy child leading a pretty sheltered life before that. I studied in a small Catholic elementary school, and I was exactly the way I am now - except I didn't know who I could debate, for example, and I didn't realise not everyone found the elements on the periodic table exciting

As soon as I became a teen, I found myself in a military middle school. It had ten times more students than the cute Catholic school, and the discipline was even more rigid... and that was quite a shock.

At first I was bullied because I was very very naive, and didn't try hard to look "all growed up" as the other kids. It took me just a couple of years however, to go from "mongol kid" to "leader of the pack". I was the editor of the newspaper we had, became popular with the girls (although I always had a crush on "the one" and ignored everyone else ), organised a few parties, prepared mixtapes we would listen on our way to the school and so on... and, during this time, also, I did become less nerdy, although I was still "the kid that spoke languages and listened to weird techno".

Today I'm 50% what I was like during my childhood and 50% what I was in my teens. I was angsty before being a teen, and I still am, so I'd say that's a personal trait rather than a teen thing, in my case. If anything, I used to think that I'd be happier after finding myself a girlfriend and leaving home.

Apparently, I was wrong

edit: Oh, regarding "original ideas", that's a good lesson I learned from Ishkur (yeah, the one from the music guide). He once mentioned that a post of mine reminded him of Hegelian thought and, after reading a bit, I realised he had hit the nail on the head - well, he was talking about Fichte rather than Hegel but, I learnt from him that, whenever I have a great idea, I probably should look it up somewhere, because it probably already exists, and has tons of arguments in favour and against it
