I think The Ring and Ringu are both wonderful. I never understood the gripe against the US version other than "Elitists slap themselves silly over another foreign adaptation." Now, The Ring 2 was absolute shit.
I didn't think Ju-On was all that great of a movie in general, but it sure scared the piss out of me.

Not sure I would call it horror, but very creepy. The Exorcism of Emily Rose def gave me a few sleepless nights.

the thing was ok but to say its the best horror movie is wtf.
I would definately say From Dusk Till Dawn is my favourite.
IT was kick ass used to scare the shit outta me when I was young.
Tales from the Crypt Demon Night was kick ass when it came out.
Ghoulies is freakin hilarious, just watch the trailers lol. Ill never forget the VHS box of Ghoulies.
Jeepers Creepers was pretty good..
Dead Alive, another one of Jackson's awful movies.
Fucking fun to watch though, I think a guy strapping a lawn mower to his chest and mowing down hundreds of zombies is Oscar worthy, but I guess there simply weren't enough gay cowboys for it to be considered.
EVIL DEAD 2
i love when that chick gets raped by a tree lolol
no but in all seriousness, i'd have to go with the exorcist I. shit still gives me nightmares. exorcist the beginning is a strong 2nd
The Howling, even though its old and the special effects aren't all that awesome, still scary as hell!
Hellraiser. Not the scariest but I still find it the best.

saw series had so much potential but i couldn't get past the horrible acting. it's one thing to see horrible acting in all the 80s horror films, but not today. i was laughing more than anything while watching Saw.
