why must people always compare them to men? they aren't the prettiest of women but they are women. serena is definitely jacked but venus is not and has never been that visually muscular. also all the women on the tour are professional athletes and they are strong and no matter how slim they appear those girls are strong...because if they weren't they wouldn't be where they are.

i wish people would just stop talking about how the williams sisters look and focus on their ability. they are the best thing to happen to women's tennis and i can say with certainty if they are playing their game nobody in the world can beat them.

also with the exception of maria and elena being prettier and dressing better they are all ogre-eses to me and have the same body type...

lol honestly, you can't get away from it. I don't think that it distracts from their talent to tennis fans in general, but you can't make a big deal about people seeing it.

most conversations i've had about tennis which then end up talking about the williams sisters almost always get dominated by their looks which don't matter in the grand scheme of things. anyhow to move away from that.

ANYWAY


Safin tried to pull an upset and the best he could do was take Federer to a tie-break in the second and lose 3 - 7 ...damn ESPN2 for not showing this match now it's on to Nadal

If they farted in your face though you would probably never get up.

We just watched them playing the doubles there now, and my friend who has a bit of a thing for them is lying over there with his tongue hanging out.

The Williams sisters as doubles are a force to reckon with.

Safin smashed his racket in the third set which gave me a good lol.

lulz then ensued when he used said racket for a point

ivanovic is gorgeous, but eliminated. Hopefully players like her, dementieva, jankovic and co willg ive us a few good years now and the williams sisters who're just not fun to watch through their style of play retire. please?

turning out to be a very competitive women's finals, which is very good. i am not a fan of those one sided williams' sisters finals in the past.

this is the BEST williams final i've ever watched. serena is struggling but overall they both started out playing at high levels. all those other finals were dominated by emotions and not really entertaining to watch. i hope when venus wins today she actually celebrates because she has always been uncomfortable beating serena.

number 5 for venus. a great accomplishment.
now for federer-nadal tomorrow. can federer make it 6 in a row?

great win by venus and i thought serena sulked too much. as for federer-nadal, this is nadal's best chance at this title so i hope he wins it and gets that much closer to the #1 ranking.

it seemed serena got frustrated when she could put her will in the match. she had control the first couple of games in the match, but venus sustained her, and made it her match.

anyone want to put some moneys on it? I got $10 on Federer taking it down. Paypal accepted

Yeah big game tomorrow, I think nadal might just do it, his grass play is a lot better than last time. Still federer always plays better against other top players, probably brings out the best in him.

Probrably lack of compromise when he was growing up - total dedication to his craft.

He's also a natural mesomorph, meaning it'll be unsually easy for him to sustain and gain muscle. He probrably spends more time in the gym concentrating on explosive power than most tennis players, (resistance training) as opposed to cardio-vascular fitness (although he's extremely agile for his size).

He'll eat a bunch too. Serena is just a freak though (and I mean with that with all due respect).

not to mention his uncle might've helped, being a legend of spanish football for barcelona & real mallorca, if i had an uncle with access to those kind of coaches, and just his own knowledge, i'd totally use it.
