| Originally posted by djc200 We have Naveen G from Listed Productions (Chicago) opening up the afters with some banging progressive... Listed does the SOS Tikki boat at WMC. Then Holosound (on GLAM's roster)... they're making waves all over from Canada to Europe with their electro beats... Then a very special guest DJ... not allowed to announce but hmm... if you liked SOS, you'll definitely not want to miss this set!! *wink*wink* Then Mono Henao (GLAM) will close it out... he was the A&R for Deeper Substance and worked with the SOS guys for a long time. And the space is just retarded (in a very good way). Centered DJ booth, 360 degree circular dance floor surrounding DJ booth... nastiness! |
Holosound is great. They're friends of ours, and rocked it at our party in WMC
can't wait for this!
one week to go
tickets are flying, response to this party has been enormous... will sell out by wednesday or thursday
get tix now, as there will likely be none available at the door
tickets are flying indeed. don't miss the boat!

flying tickets... the future is now!
see you on the boat!
I'M SO FREAKIN PUMPED....WOOOT WOOOT

so this was a lot of fun
but
this was the Desyn Masiello boat party, not the SOS boat party.
i'm not complaining that it was a bad time, in fact it was probably one of the most fun sets I've heard Desyn play, but where were Demi and Omid 16b??
(i fucking loved the end of the set. I was going crazy to the remix that Desyn dropped of Vogue and i about peed my pants with excitement when me mixed from it into "Can U Dance.")
Also, i think i'm giong to start bring intertubes with me to clubs. great way to keep your space on the dance floor. the purple hair girls were very smart.

Apologies to everyone... Demi + Omid got stuck in Boston (they flew in from Lithuania on a separate flight from Desyn)... they were at the dock when we returned and came to Le Poisson Rouge for the afterparty-played a wicked set with Desyn there...
Thanks to everyone that came out, was a blast...
awesome time
desyn played a proper fun set. loved his track selection. he played an old track from like the early 90s..fuck wish i remembered the name of it, was soo sick. every1 was going nuts to it.
sucks about demi and omid but desyn's the better of the 3..so no complaints.
only complaint is the opener..guy was all over the place imho..couldn't get a groove right. would play a decent tune then a 20 min perc loop...minute desyn went on..place erupted.
Pretty sick party...I'm so pissed I missed Demi...How was the LPR set??
duuuuude. it was all so crazy. we have everything recorded too... thank god. you'll all get to hear it soon.
and by the way, the opener was Mono Henao... one of the most talented openers i've even known and to explain a little further about him being "all over the place", you have to understand that he planned on playing a proper 1.5 hr opening set. instead, because we were literally waiting to dock back and get demi and omid (who had major flight delays), we had mono spin a three hr set, one that he was not exactly prepared for. we had to tell him on three separate occassions, "dude, keep spinning for another 30 min..."
desyn really didn't want to play without demi and omid, but we had to make an executive decision and tell him to play, because the people were going crazy in anticipation of des.
anyway, that's all about that. sorry to all those who were on the boat, but looked like everyone had a fabulous time. and those who didn't go to LPR and missed the full on two hour SOS set, next time you know not to miss a Global Frequencies afterparty!!! it was wicked. got that recorded too btw.
I had an awesome time on the boat! Thought Global Frequencies did a great job - ESPECIALLY considering the madness of flight delays and what not - and I loved the music all night.
I thought Mono played a killer opening set and I loved his track selection. Desyn's set was a lot of fun as well. I didn't mind that it was just Desyn and not SOS - especially since they played together later on.
Afterparty at LPR was off the hook.
Thanks to Dave & Rocky and the gang for putting it all together. GREAT TIME!!

The Boat was a lot of fun...only complaint was how long it took to board that thing...i woudl have felt better if they had nnounced that they were waiting for omid and demi...but there was none of that...but on the boat....pretty good vibe...man that top floor shook hard back and forth at times...
as for desyn i really enjoyed his set...ill post some of the vids i took later...
great sounds for the boat and the weatehr turned out PERFECT...especially after that storm hit earlier in the day

I agree that the opener (didn't realize it was Mono H.) was rediculous. His track selection was a little inconsistent but none the less every track was just dirty so I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Can't wait to hear this recording from LPR...post that thing NOW.
