kevin yost is deep house and Im not gonna bother checking those other artists out since there is no techy deep house or deep techy house

it's really tricky to say that an artist is one genre. kevin yost has done a lot of things. he ranges from nujazz to deep house to tech house to dub

move d was an ambient and ambient techno artist with warp records for a long time, working with pete namlook/4voice. now he makes loopy deep house and deep tech house.

and thomas melchior is a prolific producer of techno, famously collaborating with peter ford for years

deep house pure and simple is like

franck roger - vera cruz

franck roger - bone of my bone

jay tripwire & matthew bandy - donuts

ben watt - lone cat (martinez & ferrer rerub)

mr v - jus dance (cosmic ritual dub)

liquid people - one life

Deep/tech, they are used together because they describe the same spectrum of a sound, that of deep jazzy chords, moody pads, and at times tribal drumming. Deep house is the slower, more "full" loungey sound whereas "tech" house is a more upbeat, stripped-down dirtier version. The track you posted is a classic deep/tech house track. Sharam (which was known to play the deeper and techier sides of house) of deep dish, and Dubfire were associated with it (and remixed it). the current track when it is NOT categorised as "house", it is categorised as "deep house" in Discogs. The actual track is techy deep house, it is obvious and no one agreed on it being "Funky house" except for yourself.

2) Chris Liebing himself used the word "Schranz" to describe his sound in an interview which i clearly remember and i'm not lying about it. "Industrial Techno" is an imaginary genre. You can also see that in the series called "THE REAL SCHRANZ" by Chris Liebing

3) Check my samples on what "funky house" is and don't bother me with your stupid as fuck noobism anymore.

nice vids (minus morales lol)...they make me feel really old thanks.

you ruined it though by bothering to reply to eatadick guy.

ps eatadick guy, calling liebing anything other than schranz (at that time of course) is possibly the dumbest thing you have said among the hundreds of inane, absolutely mongloid posts you have wasted your time in making. good job.

damn i ruined it too.

considering the track i posted was produced during the post disco era i think you are full of shit. If you ask people on the street what house is , they will point at a building. The majority of the public have no clue what house music is, making you fit in for a change.

tis house.

ah wait, i ruined it.

or my newest track:

trust me there is a such thing as techy deep house, and it has a name:

thomas melchior (check out melchior productions - coming up)

also move d (check out move d- AC1D)

listen to kevin yost - hypnotic progressions

then get back to me

There's definitely a difference between the more 'electronic' sounding deep house, such as Jimpster, Timewriter and your song (nice job, btw!), and the more "organic" sounds coming from the Naked Music roster, Kaskade, Ben Watt, The New Deal. But both genres have a lot of the same groundwork, i.e. a slow tempo and jazzy chords, rhodes, lushness. I would call the first "deep tech house" if we want to.

Its amazing how many people in here still confuse stuff. Probably beatport is to blame with the mislabels? I don't know...

Anyway,

1) Funk-House: Imaginary genre, doesn't exist, previous samples are just Funk.

2) Funky-House (also known and as "Disco-House"): The usual mainstream house which usually contains samples/riffs from Funk and Disco (and soulful vocals, although vocals are not agood index of genre because the majority of deep house tracks have soulful vocals as well). Simple as that!

FUNKY HOUSE

Thank you. That is what I was looking for. Also thanks to everyone for the links.
