that reminds me when i was at a mates having a mix and this chick asked if she could play with some stuff on the mixer so i set her loose on the kill switches.

Even after i told her she could play with those 3 buttons she must have asked me 2 or 3 times "are you sure" like she was afraid she would break something.

Try to do a mini mix based on radio-edits for a change (who needs those extra 3 minutes of DJ intro/outro crap anyway )

Respect the flow of the tracks and the 16beats, at least 32 beats of combined material per song... that's damn hard work for 20mins if you do it rightm but it's impressive if you pull it off

I would say "I don't do anything cool for free" Actually I usually que up some hip hop and what have you and let them mess around till they get bored or consious of the fact that they suck, which is usually about 4 minutes or so. I don't really worry because the only vinyl they mess up is pretty much worthless anyway,,,

i hear this quite often "wow, that [equipment] looks cool *imitates scratching movement with one hand and can-to-ear movement with the other hand* so now you can record a cool track right?"

This one person asked me grove and in end he told me I suck and he could do better so we had sound off and we had people vote who better and I won with flying colors so he shut up.
