If what you said he did really happened, you know you have a legitimate harassment claim, right? Harassment isn't just about physical contact or sexual advances. It's also about creating a hostile work environment and is extremely easy to prove or at least get on the record. Just something to think about.

Do Clovis and Bas call you?

Posted by Slylee on Jul-18-2008 21:10:

oh i could easily report him to the florida bar for an investigation for how much he lies and rips his clients off and doctors too.

and i know i have a legit harrassment claim. why would i make that up? he seriously punched the filing cabinet right in front of me. i was like woah dude fucking relax. i didn't say that but that's when i just opened my drawer and got my shit and walked out. he didn't say anything.

he also told me recently that we need to hire a new receptionist and she needs to be "hot and nothing else". lol and he has made several racist remarks about my spanish coworker because she is kinda ghetto and always has drama with her baby daddy n shit. i have so much dirt on him.

meanwhile he is literally 5'2 and has napolian complex.

Fucking god damn. I need a better job. Got any paper pusher openings?

Posted by Krypton on Jul-18-2008 22:09:

I haven't been to work for 3 weeks. But I'll be getting $3000 in loan repayments, so I'm still good.

Slylee what do you do? Administrative work? Paralegal?

Thats how I started. I was the only one willing to give it a try. Everyone else was scared to fail. Everyone else got laid off and I got promoted. Ive been the only one on the west coast that does what I do for the past 5 years. I wont train anyone either. Job security. From talking to corporate Im the best at it too. So I have that going for me. I had GE canada offer me $90k a year, but I dont want to move to Montreal. Id do it if it was in B.C.

Nah. I really dont like dealing with snowy winters. Cant speak a lick of french. Too far away from everyone I know. Id be solo...again. Just like when I moved to socal. Took me a couple years to get a core group of friends I trust. Not really wanting to do that again. Train you!?

Seriously, I would fucking love a paper pusher job again. This customer service shit sucks. It is better than nothing, but I would rather be pushing papers.

So you just "maybe" want to bet that you can't lose your job?

Posted by L.E.N. on Jul-18-2008 22:52:

Customer service sucks...I was so happy when I didnt have to deal with the general public anymore. Sales fuckin blows too. Acting happy to see strangers when you really want to stomp their heads in. Fuck commission only jobs...too stressful and you have to be a great liar. I suck at that so I didnt make as much as the scumbag salesmen that could steal your shoes and sell them back to you at twice the price.

Both of those types of jobs make you bitter and you start thinking everyone is an idiot. My old sales job almost made me racist I think.

Im sure I can find a way. Ill keep at it. But the shit I do would get me fired at most other jobs 100 times over. I just know my shit and get it done. I like the freedom. Nobody breathing down my neck. I blast music in my office, and chill out with the hot administrator and deal with only a handful of customers that Im friends with..

Not too bad.

It doesn't make you think everyone is an idiot. It brings to light how stupid the general public is. In the US anyways.

And yeah I can't do sales. I can't steal someones shoes and sell them back to them at twice the price. Nor can I pressure someone into buying something they don't want, or offer things that aren't covered/provided/possible.

Customer service would be ok if I could tell these morons that they are such.

Or you can sugar coat it.

It is sad how clueless most seem after working that kind of job.

I got out of work two hours late after a very rough day.

Oh well, I get a three-day weekend full of camping + music. Score!
