The whole thing about allmost being emberassed of MTL is because I went to go see Adultnapper and there was like 10 people there.

yea it has been making a come back but more the new age techno. The old skool sound is still strong but harder to find outside Europe!

Minimal has definately exploded in the scene, and it's fun to listen to the old school techno...

So many house DJ's incorporate techno into their sets now... Lawler, Digweed, Sasha, Tenaglia(for a few years now as I learned in the previous thread ), many Montreal locals....

And it's always fun to listen to stuff from the Chris Liebing, Carl Cox, Pig&Dan...

Not to mention many upcoming new talent (Kaden.. )

Right now im really digging the DUB side of techno, minimal. You gotta know where to look to find this stuff but dammm is it ever good. A lot of djs love to sneak the dub stuff in to there sets these days and even more of my favourite producers are slowly exploring the dub side of things. dubdubdubdub

Well Basic Channel is not Rod Modell and Mike Schommer, but they were inspired by Basic Chanell (Maurizio)

Yea Deadbeat is great I was at his myspace the other day and realized he was from MTL. He really does the dub sound like a champ! I think hes done like most of the pros from mtl and gotten the heck out of here to berlin.

That's been a long time since I posted here.
For your information, Th��tre TELUS is the old Aria main room but with many modifications, so it's bigger now with a completely different setup. Lamouche is 2 1/2 time bigger than Aria hip-hop room, we used a other room that was never exploited (while it was Aria) before plus de hip-hop room.

BTW, for some of you who want to have a other option for August 31st, Derrick Carter will play a good Chicago house set at Lamouche and it's 20$ only to get in.
