What if your track gets played at a big event, and some frequencies you didnt notice is tearing down the soundsystem ?

But sure, if you are a mastering engineer and a producer, you`d prolly master your own tracks, its not that hard.
But if a mastering engineer could do make the mastering better than you, wouldnt you want to have your track sounding the best as possible ?


im not saying its pointless, im just saying its not a must have and you have got other options too...

and regarding the big event... if there is a frequency that i didn't notice i wouldn't notice it in the club also i belive

and think about it... how many unsigned, straight from the studio, tracks were played over the years by djs around the world in clubs? i don't think the dj took it to a mastering engineer every time before a gig... if it sounds good it sounds good...

and if i were a mastering engineer, as a job i mean, i would probably want to be the best there is, but thats a philosophical answer, and if someone is probably making a better job than you, then yeah go for it... i just think that if i was an engineer my ego wouldn't let me admit he's better
