You can congratulate me when I get hired by a mutual fund or make my first million.. It's just a gig. But hey, wouldn't you want to get hired to do something you do just for fun?

That is why they asked you.

I don't know about you Krypton, but I was happy when I heard the Amphitheater closed down. Fuck that place, and fuck dirty ass Ybor City!

Of course, that's why congratulated you! If you made your first million, I'd give you an internet high five

I was there the last night it was open as the Amp. But really, it didn't close. It just turned into a different club. I always thought it was full of yuppy stuck up assed...you get the picture..

I tended to go towards the "rave" type events, in the middle of nowhere, camped out with 500-1000 people in a field for 2-3 days, and a gigantic 16,000 watt sound system, lasers, and strobes. That was all we needed. F*ck the club...

I hear ya. I grew up in Clearwater and lived there, then Tallahassee, and then Orlando until last year. What pissed me off so much about Tampa's night life is that it could be 1000X better than it is, but the downtown area won't develop... and when new "hot" places pop up like Jacksons a couple years ago, it's the same old shit with dirty Atlanta type hip hop and total shit resident DJ's. I saw Carl Cox play at Underground a couple years ago, and it wasn't even that packed. Total horse shit. Downtown Orlando actually had a decent scene... and a lot more hot bitches. Tampa is boring unless you're stupid rich.

I saw Carl Cox the same night dude. Haha, I been the Underground dozens of times! Blew any club in Ybor out of the water. But management sucked at getting people through the door. Their promoting was sh*t to say the least. Hell, the Amp had 93.3 FM broadcast live from their club. If the Underground had that kind of promotion, the place would be packed all the time. But I gave up on Tampa nightlife long before I left. Afterhours at Nightmoves II, that place closed like at 9AM, and they played that some pretty dark Florida breaks. That's about it. I spent more time sitting at home or a friend's house smoking dro and playing video games. Just wasn't worth it anymore going out.

You were there? LOL. The crowd did get rowdy during the point when he played that remixed version of Weezer's "Buddy Holly"... that was nice. I guess you're right about Underground... terribly promotions but had good potential. Although, it was in that part of town where I felt like I was going to get murdered when walking to the car afterwards. One night some random dude had like 20oz of mushrooms in the trunk of his car and tried to sell me some at 4a.m.

Edit: you ever go to Mons?

glowsticking.com

youtube.com

I dunno exactly where to find poi instructionals. I just learned by watching other people, and copying them. The better you get at it, the more you can do on your own, and the less you copy off of other people.

I dunno, I have a meeting if the entertainment company tomorrow night. It was funny, because last night, I got up on this platform, and spun. Within 2 minutes, I had this guy come up to me, asking me to talk to the bar tender. The bar tender then said they were interested in hiring me as a talent, gave me a card, and told me to give the company a call (b/c they run different events, not the club). I need a permit to spin fire from the fire department, but I know that spinning fire means a whole lot more money in a night.

This guy named Lamont spun fire at the Club Amphitheater in Tampa, and he was paid like $500 a night.

That's frickin' sick, dude! Congrats.
