So is Phelps streak going to be stopped by his own teammate Ian Crocker?

They'll face each other Saturday morning in the final of the 100-meter butterfly, Phelps' last individual event of the Olympics and Crocker's only one.
What must be going through this guy's mind? He's not about to apologize for wanting to win the first individual gold medal of his career. Then again, he surely knows that a whole world is cheering on Phelps, eager to see him do something no Olympian has done before.

"You can start by not worrying about what everybody else thinks," Crocker said. "Nobody knows what I've really gone through in the last eight years and what has gotten me to this point, besides myself and a few people that I know well. So it's my own personal deal at this point."

Crocker is certainly a formidable foe, holding the world record in the 100 fly for more than three years. But Phelps won their most important showdown at the 2004 Athens Olympics. He also came out on top at last year's world championships and last month's U.S. Olympic trials.

Yeah i am mainly going for a business trip. I need to verify if this manufacture wherehouse is the one i need. I need to make sure its the exact product a company is gouging customers for. They are selling units over her for 400-500 when they are paying like 40 bucks at the plant. So if indeed its the same stuff i am going to be selling it over here, but half the price under a different name

So once i am all done checking out the different factories, i will be going all over mainland and to HK, Macau, Taiwan and hopefully Malaysia...

I will make sure to take pics of the 12 year olds working in the factories

tbh, the Olympics have completely lost their true spirit this year. Too much continued turmoil in the world, too much politics and commercialism.

Overrated and done... and honestly... the bits I've seen... really haven't been that interesting to watch. (Tandem Dive, Rowing Qualifiers, Team Gymnastics).

The reality is... I've got my own stuff to sort out and worry about right now... and not care about some spectacle on the tele. lol

Cest la vie right?

i agree... this has not been one of the best olympics. too many events. the olympics this year are 3 weeks long i believe. who the hell cares about synchonized archery while blindfolded. and how annoying is Bob Costas and the rest of the media covering it!! they started going down hill after the 96' games in Atlanta imo.

but although overrated, i still watch em... especially the track n field. GO USA!!!!

Cest la vie is "that's life" or "such is life" so I really don't follow the I don't know comment.

meh... back to finding a job and being tired of having no job entering my final semester... lol

Shaq joined the NBA in 92.

92 team no question was the best.

+1

Laetener was the only blemish on that team.

==========

I also gotta say that Guile AKA chris mullin is the most underrated guy there, maybe the most underrated guy of that generation. Too bad he won't make the HOF.

Posted by Nerologic on Aug-19-2008 20:14:

ha...

I though Shaq was a rookie that had made it, i guess he wasn't on the team until 96...

Shitty that we placed bronze this year, the line up was SOLID!

Posted by djjoshuaallen on Aug-19-2008 22:37:

92 no doubt about it.

Yes Sir! Greatest team EVER assembled in ANY sport!

Anyone catch Bob Costas' interview of Dubbya last week? I'm not a big Costas fan, but I had to give him credit for asking the President some tough questions which not only needed to be asked, but also provided high comedy by the way Dubbya answered them.

So what if she finished socond to last in the Javlin qualifing. DAMN Leryn Franco's hot!!!
