ok. so let me get this straight ....
she bangs a neighbours window at midnight (dont know if this means she broke the window or was tryin to break in or ummmm nevermind)
wait a minute.
how did the father know she banged neighbours window?
according to the article, the father quit the volunteer shit he did with kids... doesn't say anything about him being asked to resign or canned do to recieving his "caution".
why not just right an article about the guy with unpaid parking tickets who fears he might not be able to renew his plates
this article is stupid, and those people are fags.

this is a tough situation.
I think the problem is that kids now-a-days live in a world where they believe they can do no wrong. This is both a scary and dangerous scenario. In an effort to keep our children safe from the chronic abusers who DO definately exist in society, it is affecting a modern parent's ability to discipline their child (to reasonable measures). Kids are encouraged to report incidents of aggression at home and so they believe this is their way of fighting back. A lack of maturity usually means that they are not thinking clearly about the consequences of their actions.
sad really.
My personal approach would be slightly different. I am a firm believer that you can bring a child up without raising your hand on them. It takes alot of patience and requires parents to develop closely bonded relationshipos with their children. This leads to a stronger than usual trust between a parent and a child which in turn leads to the child being less disobedient.
i learnt the hard way though...a few solid whacks coupled with tonnes of love and nurturing means i came out alright...i think.

| Originally posted by zokissima I completely agree with the general sentiments in that children should definitely be disciplined, and that includes physical discipline, in moderation, and when called for. Sometimes, there is just no other way to teach someone the concept of action -> consequence. |

| Originally posted by zokissima lol my dad used wood sprues, and when they broke, he'd send me to a forrest close to our house for me to pick out another one, on my own. If I were stupid enough to get one that was dry and would break on the first hit, I knew I'd just be in for another walk to pick up a fresh one. |
