I think the reason for this is because Benassi isn't really the style for many of the people here. He's more of the average college girl, EDM style. Meaning the people who are really into EDM probably didn't go.

Meaning many of my friends both girls and guys, who don't know what the difference between house & trance is, or most likely don't even know what those types of music are in the first place, went to his show that night. Probably because they've heard the name Benassi somewhere, or because he's pop for his one song 'satisfaction'. Basically he appeals more to the 'pop' crowd and thats who showed up.

Yeah, it seems like he could be one of those djs like Tiesto who attracts a lot of people just because of his name. I have a couple friends whose knowledge of EDM is limited, but for some reason they always mention Benassi when he passes through town. One of the friends was someone who asked me "who the hell is BT" when I told him I was going to see him, just to give you an idea of how much he knows. I mean, I know there are more people in Atlanta who like EDM than is represented on this site, but the fact that there is one review here and 1400 people were there is a pretty good indication that romz is on to something.

That doesn't mean he is bad necessarily or that people that go see him don't know much. His sets might be pretty good. I'm not crazy about his productions, but I'd probably catch him sometime if it was convenient.

I guess that explains the massive crowd. I'm pretty pissed about it, considering:

- Ticket prices increased $10 overnight without warning
- I bought them anyways and then couldn't get in
- It was my birthday

In the future, I'm going to skip the hassle and just head to a friend's house. The music and crowd are probably better anyways!!

Ye I don't understand how some promoters advertising 'it's gonna be packed' being an advantage. At least at Opera, that's a huge disadvantage, when the place is packed for some of these 'big time' dj's that shit turns into a massive sausage fest. I'd rather go to an empty show than getting drinks spilled on and drunk mofos falling all over u.

I totally agree. At some point [like last Halloween in my opinion] clubs are too crowded to be fun.

If you're talking about Coxy, then
