I once beat someone to death with a 7290. It wouldn't start up at first, but then i wiped the blood off of the screen and keyboard, and she was good to go!

Looks like the Samsung F480 released in Europe

That's because it is. It's just renamed for the US market.

Reports like this are highly suspect. Same thing was said of Curve (speaking of which I have one for sale, great condition for $200) - but the Curve is a tank.

Time will tell.

What are you replacing it with?

For work reasons I must run a Windows Mobile device.

I currently use HTC S621 w/ Windows Mobile 6.1.

I will be migrating to the SE Xperia X1 once Rogers gets around to rolling it out in Q4.

That's a nice unit.

I heard the keyboard is the worst hardware QWERTY specimen of any ever devised...

I personally won't be touching WinMo again until version 7. I'll either stick with Symbian/S60 or migrate to Android.

Speaking of Android, the HTC Dream will be out in October, they say.

Did they announce they will be doing this for sure? Cause I want one badly, and think I may hit up a trip to the states to pick one up if they dont release it here.

Actually, this just looks like an akward fall on the corner of a rock or something. I've dropped my bold at least 10 times while I was in Europe last month from varying heights of 30 to 90 cm. This is mainly since I get bored, and I start flipping it in my hand, and sometimes it drops. All the damage on it are the silver paint chips on the corners. Everything else is fine...

Motorola actually has this phone out right now...

Some guy at the club had one...

same screen as the RAZR...

Funny but I think the novelty would wear off...

can companies lease phones like laptops? so if repairs come up they can just send em back? just curious...

EDIT:08-25-08

Damn ... the Bold seems to have a few probs

1)fragile housing
2)slow 3G speed
3)batt draining too fast (full charging takes a long time)
4)slow charging
5)trackball freezes and not responding from time to time
6)memory leaking, not full amount of 128mb (only heard 2 cases so far)
