probably because previous TXTA beach events wanted to be all the way down in Padre and there is no chance of that happening - it's too long of a drive and if no one shows it'd be a total waste of resources. This event is totally different and as is evident by Sharper's antics (as seen here) it's possible.

I've already contacted the Houston Parks dept.

the ball is rolling everyone. I've got a target date in mind. Once I get word back from the Parks dept on details (permits, rules, etc)
