I fully agree the story is hilarious, and I do believe he has posted it on TA.

I'm just pretty certain Pronsato isn't the kind of guy who would say that seriously, especially not at Old Miami.

[i'msofuckingcoolihangoutwithpeople]

having spent the next morning with him and a good friend drinking all the alcohol left in our hotel room + a bunch of champagne we bought downstairs, I can say that the dude has a great sense of humor. His troy pierce impression is absolutely off the HOOK.

Anyways, listen to this set!

Yeah, I never thought either of them posted that story as if to say Bruno was actually really pissed - just ironically angry for the hilarity of it all (especially considering the surroundings - Sunday, Beatport stage, DEMF. I'm not sure there's a friendlier place on earth ).

Just a hilarious fucking tale.

"You just stepped on Bruno Pronsato's favorite shoes"

Can I get a breakdown to build-up ratio before I commit?

This sounds nice on my monitors.

For some reason I find minimal annoying on headphones but a lot of it pretty good on speakers.

Posted by Clovis on Aug-22-2008 02:25:

Imagine it at Watergate at some ungodly hour of the morning with the LEDs going nuts and the sound system pumping hard...

Thats what I did.

Also good stoned.

It says "Live PA," so were these all their own tracks or what?

Tracks and remixes + stuff on the fly I believe. Usually what a live pa is

Yep. Or all their own parts of tracks, since their live set is pretty LIVE. They use less laptops and a lot more gear.

Definitely groovy stuff here.

It seemed really boring to me at first, but the nuances and amazing simplicity of everything really make you focus on the elements at hand. To me this is fantastic use of minimalism in electronic dance music, having seen them live @ DEMF I can attest that they work their machines and samples hard and it is very much a live show.

Posted by enydo on Aug-22-2008 05:19:

I listened to this earlier today and enjoyed it a good bit.

I just relistened to it high and it was incredible.

Posted by RJT on Aug-22-2008 05:25:

Definitely something I think I'd only listen to when I'm in the mood for something this chill and groovy, but definitely top notch stuff in that regard.

This falls into the category of "music I wish I could hear out and about more often."

Half Hawaii live PA @ Watergate (Bruno Pronsato & Sammy Dee)

This is minimal, and this is stuff I can fucking appreciate...

A majority of folks will think this is absolute garbage, and that is exactly the way it should be.

Actually, that's the exact type of music I hear in my head when someone mentions minimal. That's exactly how I picture it.

Sounds solid.

Edit: Is that May 7th or July 5th?
