Then I apply an herb mint facial masque which I leave on for ten minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after-shave lotion with little or no alcohol because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm, followed by a final moisturizing "protective" lotion. |

Re: The girly thread
Hi Slylee,
Awesome thread!
Sorry if some of this is too personal...
I love LypSyl lip moisturizer. It's clean and cool. ChapStick Lip Butter is ok too.
For my daily facial cleansing I use Murad Vitalic Energizing Pomegranate Cleanser. It's about $22-25 per bottle but it works magic on doing two things at once: taking off heavy makeup- leaving your face without a trace of dirt or grime, and cleansing the oil and pores.
For the body, I love Aveeno Creamy Moisturizing Oil- it smells like coconuts.
For a shower wash, I like Aveeno Stress Relief Body Wash or Caress Exotic Body Oil Infusions (esp. Japanese.)
These are some other things I highly recommend for ultra- cleanliness:
pedicure- Tweezerman nail cleaner (eew but nice)
sinuses and nasal cavity- regular cleansing with a Neti-pot device, with non-iodized salt
parrafin treatments during manicures/pedicures- the feeling is awesome and i swear it clears up my sinuses through a reflexology technique. i would NOT recommend using this more than twice a week though- the heat is STRONG. i'm not sure about daily usage of this product, i would consult a physician.
i would also recommend epsom salt (you can get it at CVS) for a foot bath pre- shower. when i was on vacation i filled the tub up 1/5 full with hot- warm water and poured epsom salts and then soaked my feet as i showered
i'm not sure about daily usage of this product, i would consult a physician.
for shampoo i'd recommend one with peppermint or eucalyptus or a peppermint scalp treatment for a nice clean feeling
i saw the coolest thing the other day- a hot towel warmer- i will have to get one and try it out
i'm not sure about daily usage of this products, i would consult a physician.
I highly recommend daily sun-screen with an SPF of 30+- like Science Sunforgettable sun protection.
Slylee, I'm definitely going to try the "Lime Coolada" lotion.
... Ahhhhh. For that "nice-clean-feeling." HEHE

Re: Re: The girly thread
Hi everyone,
I'm really sorry but I have to take away the comment about the hand towel warmer. I think it's meant for spa usage and I may be an idiot for considering buying it for personal usage. I would imagine that washing your hands with hot water is already bad enough for your skin, but what about using a hot towel afterwards? Probably too excessive... but if I happen to get one some day, I will let you know.

Ain't no girly here, damn you Slylee!
I rub glycerin on my dick, does that count?
one of my co-workers put the fear of god in me a couple weeks ago. she's been using anti-wrinkle cream for YEARS and she's only 32. either way now i use anti-wrinkle cream...which I admit is kind of dumb because a) i have no wrinkles b) i already look a bit younger than my age and c) my parents look very young.
another helpful vaseline tip...tyra banks once said if you are in a pinch and need mascra ASAP put a bit on the lashes. there are few things i listen to tyra about but beauty stuff seems like an area she knows about.

i use this for after sun
