MANTRA so you can piss in ice

i have to agree, the museum of fine arts and the museum of science are two museums you have to visit. if you are looking for a fun stroll, maybe walk around the boston common park (which is where the cheers bar is), and then onto newbury street. newbury has some of the best shopping in the city, and some very chic restaurants/bars

i know you'll be with your fam, but if you DO get an itch to go out haha, check out the phoenix landing in cambridge (it is on massachusetts ave right by the central square red line stop). they have a weekly techno party every wednesday night which is pretty fun

also, the red sox will be playing at home each night you're here, so the city will be buzzing with activity if you go down to the fenway park area (the kendall square green line stop). the stadium is surrounded by bars and people watching the game. one of my fave spots there is boston beer works, a sweet little microbrewery with decent food

Good one!

Does it make you mad that no one cares about your dumb cause?

Or should I rephrase; does it make you mad that no one even KNOWS about your dumb cause? (and possibly our province).

i went to school in the area. catch a baseball game. walk around the commons. find a random restaurant on newbury street. do the harvard square thing. i did the duck tour with my aunt and uncle two years ago when they visited and they LOVED it.

i really like boston

see if you can do something on the esplanade or go to the aquarium OR visit the sam adams brewery or get cannolis at mike's pastry. walking in boston is always fun because it's a mess

I was there back in 2001. Fenway was cool. There was this alley with a bunch of bars. That was kinda cool. I only hit up a few clubs, Avalon & i think the other was Axis. They were right next to each other. They werent too bad just was kinda cheap/cheesy serving drinks in plastic cups. Plus there was a ton of kids there since it was 19 to get in & 21 to drink. That was Lame. Also checked out Cheers. It was nothing like the tv show. Kinda lame.

The history walk was cool. Its a route you take in the city for a nice walk. Its well marked & takes you past alot of historic buildings & places.

Avalon and Axis are RIP, the Estate with its shitty sound system is pretty much the only major venue nowadays. there's Gypsy Bar on the Common, it's a pretty good scene. also, i heard there's this really popular place downtown, China Bar or something like that, the name is Asian related. Cheers is shit. if you want good beer, check out the Sunset Bar / Big City bar in Coolidge Corner (brookline... or brighton? i can't remember). The People's Republik is a good bar in Cambridge. Harvard square has a bunch of good places, especially Border's Cafe. with the influx of MIT and Harvard students next week everything will be crowded in Harvard Square.

oh, and i hate, hate, HATE Cambridge with a passion. one-way streets that absolutely don't make any sense - it's not a grid layout so driving anywhere without knowing it like 2+2 is a major pain in the arse.
