-- Should airlines charge you by your weight?
Pages (2): « 1 [2]
no. if they take up two seats, they should pay, but to charge them if they go over a certain weight would be unfair, in that a really short, fine boned girl 40 odd kilo while a healthy 6'7 male can be 90 kilo. being tall and broad isn't his fault and he shouldn't be forced to pay extra
kilos?
where the heck are you writing from tazakstan?
I think it would be called pay-per-weigh
Its basically taking repsonibility for the airline to transport you
IE
you pay per a meal if you wanna supersize something you pay extra

They should, however, place surcharges on B.O. rays strong enough to set off a Geiger counter. $10 per click. And tack on a flat $500 for every time an infant cries, screams, or kicks the seat in front. |

good thread!!!
haha
It's been a few years since airlines forced people to buy the extra seat. They've been taken to court and things have changed quite a bit. Most airlines will offer the fatties a discount on a second seat, but they aren't forced to buy them. And yes fuel has surpassed employee wages as the largest cost in running an airline.
Fat people should be charged extra for everything, imo.
i can't believe this many people have seriously weighed in on this subject - no pun intended. if you take up 2 seats 'cause you're an obese pig, then pay for 2 seats. but someone paying more 'cause they weigh 210 vs. 160, that's silly and hardly 'logical'. i can see the slogan now: 'sketch bags and annorexics fly for free'
