...that's what us down-to-earth Melburnians are always saying about you Sydney-siders.

Seriously though, every time I go to Sydney it *seems* like everyone there has an attitude problem. You stop to ask people the time or for directions and they look at you as if you're asking them to turn over their life savings.

Not everyone but bloody hell I'd say it was more than 50%. I'll be in Melbourne end of this month for unigames, can't wait

You actually buy the bullshit about European women not shaving?

What sport are you competing in, and where are you staying?

I never had a chance to do uni games, but I've done a few interstate sporting trips staying at Griffith Univerity, University of Queensland and various places in Sydney. If your trip is anything like mine were, you're going to have a shit heap of fun.

I'm moving back to Europe.

I agree, sydney sucks.

Na Sydney is great for most things, just that the people can be a bit shitty, especially the younger ones.

I'm playing basketball and I believe my whole uni is staying at Melbourne Discovery which is on Flinders St in the city. Good stuff, should be easy to crawl back home in the morning

Yea I was at unigames in Surfers last year and it was fucking insane. I regret not going in my first 2 years now

You're within walking distance of Infinity @ QBH if you're in the mood for some trance on Saturday night, otherwise the CBD is a wealth of pubs and bars, just like Sydney.

Posted by Fledz on Aug-31-2008 05:01:

I get there on sunday and leave the following sat, but you never know. Might turn up a day early :P

Yeah you're right, but we are getting a massive upgrade soon I think.

I pay $60 a month for a 20mb/240k cable connection with a 12g on-peak 24g off-peak cap. lol

Because there's only room for one irate European in my house and I think she'd win.

Sydney is weird in a lot of ways, most girls I talk too have completely unreasonable ideas of what they want in a partner, think most of them are going to die of old age waiting.

Posted by Fledz on Aug-31-2008 08:24:

Pretty much. It worried me a few years ago when I was still really keen to live my life and raise my children here, and how I would find a suitable partner.

Now I simply don't care anymore as I have no desire to live my life in Australia. Will be visiting all the time but home is Europe.

Aren't you 21 odd?

Pretty early to be thinking about marriage, let alone where you're going to raise kids!

I'll second the notion that Australian women are very demanding though, Sydney's not alone there...

not really. It depends on the person.

I've got a few friends who have married around 22-ish.

Posted by Fledz on Aug-31-2008 08:30:

Yea I know but to be honest, it's something that's always been in the back of my mind. I've always figured better to be ready than have it creep up on you. Plenty of time but yea, it's the way I was raised and the Croatian mentality. Always look ahead.

mmm

It seems bizzare that our parents generation were married at 21-22 and had 2-3 kids by 28.

28 these days is still a time for all night partying and hedonism.

Our kids will probably not be getting hitched til they're 35-40, hahaha.

Posted by Fledz on Aug-31-2008 08:38:

If we're fertile enough to have them that is!
