Very well-written with an intensive background of how the country's severe problems came about....as well as personal tales of the trauma that went about during that time. Combo of political/historical/personal. Tons of awards won for this book, and for good reason. |
I enjoy the TV show Dexter a lot, decided to pick up the first book, "Darkly Dreaming Dexter". Half way through and really enjoying it. If you're unfamiliar with the show it's about a forensic scientist who specializes in blood splatter who is also a serial killer.
However...my friend who has read all of the books thus far (3) says that Jeff Lindsay introduced supernatural powers in the third book, that it was awful, and to only bother reading the first two books.
