Is that the 'second pass' that other people are referring to?

I originally thought that it would be part of a series of 'Wheel' tracks, with subsequent 'passes' to follow later...which actually sounds like a cool idea, as far as I'm concerned.

But I would very much like to hear these other versions that people said have popped up before.

I've searched for "James Holden - The Wheel [Pass 2]" and nothing comes up.

I'm very interested in hearing this version, too. Anybody care to lend a hand?

I really wish I could figure out where he sampled that from. Definitely one of my favorite songs of all time.

I was curious as well and found out that it's sampled from an old Peggy Lee record where she read out translations of some ancient Chinese love poems. Thanks to Gemma at BC for the info! Unfortunately they can't recall the exact title at the moment...

"I Have Put Out The Light" is sublime, one of my favorites, liked the Wheel for what it was worth as well, but haven't gone and heard it in a while.

I made 3 Holden mixes, the last one dates from october 2004
It contains one of my best transitions ever:

07. The Wheel
08. I Have Put Out The Light

Still gives me shivers each time i listen to it

I always thought it was his sister since she's credited on the record. Additional vocals?

Speaking of vocals, anyone know what that whispering is during The Wheel from 3:38-3:43?

I've always wondered what was being said.

Brilliant track, I still listen to it quite often. And yeah, Balance 005 is amazing.
