| Originally posted by Caution_BiPolar You might, but unfortunately I have a hard time coming to terms with having to blow thousands of $$$ on nonsense (like criminal justice attorneys), so I'll probably still be bitching about this (and the involuntary forfeit of my late summer vacation on account of) two months from now. However, I won't be offended if you ignore my rants on the subject |
I do remember having many good nights there, and I do remember having a fucking blast at deadmau5. You saw how I hyped that show on Facebook, and I was as excited as a 14 year old girl at an NSYNC concert to be there, and EVERYONE had a great time up until the end.
We talked to the manager/owner of the place and he gave us a "yeah, whatever, I don't care" attitude when we spoke with him, polite and dignified, by the way, so that's the real reason I wouldn't return.
But, anyways... I'm looking forward to many shows to come that I can attend with my friends and be happy.
I vote we all rally outside Opera and demand they convert it back to eleven50, then I'll be happy =P

Aw, fuck
I thought they were getting more business because of the name change and Liquified nights.
damn I was holding out on events till I was 21 for this club and now its gone.
damn.
TRULY sad news. First we lost Backstreet and now Blu. I have a lot of memories in that place when i started going there '02. I can honestly say, I never had a bad time when I was at Blu. When it first became blu, the place was pure glitz... amazing sound, a lighting system to finally rival Backstreet's and a clientele that made the place fucking nutz.... The usual drill was to hit Blu from 12ish to 4ish, then head over to Backstreet for the tail end of Rob Reum's set while the drunktards were flowing out and then the 5AM beat drop into after hours and ALWAYS Sunday Church
C'est lavie!
Wetbar is awesome. It's too bad straight people can't wise up and realize that they live in a city with a large gay population. I don't see what's so bad about the gay guys there it should be just about the music right? Anyway the gays seriously do know how to party. What a shame to see this place go.
oh my god noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Interesting. The only place the gays have now is Sam's ass.
I'm no Mr Slave!
Shame.... I will miss the patio. I had a great time there the one time I was there for Sasha. How is opera?

we should go back to stuff at the tabernacle and use centerstage more that place kicks ass.
Tabernacle staff pisses me off. Centerstage is amazing though, I support that idea.
Tongue and Groove has an awesome sound system, too bad the dance floor seems smaller than my kitchen table

Sure, why not? Luan and Bong have some KILLER homemade speakers and awesome equiptment.
"Ideas.. Ideas of bringing and promoting more EDM events into Atlanta.. We had ideas... ideas that had turned us completely mad; our obsession eventually lead us into wanting to create our own unique sound for our live events. Our goal? Building our own sub woofers from scratch; to produce a system that would destructively break below 28Hz. We wanted to create BASS so low that you really cant hear... BUT you CAN definately FEEL. We also wanted it to HIT... and hit HARD.
Two of these horns (boxes) contain four "12 sub woofers (two in each box) and will produce about 29Hz-30Hz. When paired with two more horns for a total of four (eight "12s), we can surely break the 28Hz mark. We dont plan to stop there... And these pictures are only the beginning of our vision."
... too bad no venue has agreed to let us bring them yet. I guess they're intimidating
That's pretty frickin' epic.
Those look sweet. I have to see them when I come to atl !
