God told me i would die on steak and blowjob day so i think i'm gonna be ok.
can you guys imagine how awesome it would be if we really did just headshot the entire fucking universe with this?
so when the species of the future are in history and science class they can read about how bad-ass the human race was in devouring itself and its entire planet with a blackhole
is it over?
I was porking the wife awhile listening to song the world is mine by Dave Guretta

| Worst Case: Scientists inadvertently make a micro black hole, and the earth is quickly erased from existence. Just kidding: scientists at CERN and elsewhere have ruled out the possibility that the LHC will create any kind of doomsday scenario. The black holes that the LHC could theoretically create don't even have enough energy to light up a light bulb. On the other hand, the U.K.'s Astronomer Royal put the odds of destroying the world at 1 in 50 million (which puts it in the realm of possibilities but still not as likely as hitting the lottery). |

not sure
The collider is currently undergoing commissioning while being cooled down to its final operating temperature of approximately 1.9 K (−271.25 °C). Initial particle beam injections were successfully carried out on 11 August 2008[2][3]and the first attempt to circulate a beam through the entire LHC is scheduled for 10 September 2008 at 9:00 GMT.[4][5] The first high-energy collisions are planned to take place after the LHC is officially unveiled, on 21 October 2008.[6]

I just saw the news and they were saying just after midnight (its 11pm here now) was when it was going to fire off.
From what heard was it will start small then work it way up.

Lame...just do it. Its all hype....just like Y2K. Everyone was worried for no reason. If Im wrong...I wont feel a thing if the theorys are correct.
Here is webcams to see unit and all.

| Originally posted by occrider Yes. The first test was to send a beam counterclockwise. The second was to send a beam clockwise. This test is to send a beam in one complete revolution. The actual smashing where they send two beams, one counterclockwise and one clockwise, to collide against one another will not actually happen for a couple months. But don't let sensationalist news media tell you otherwise. As is typical when it comes to issues where people are remarkably uninformed and ignorant, reality couldn't be farther from the hype: "Anyone who thinks the LHC will destroy the world is a twat." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/ma...5/scilhc105.xml |
