lol yeah, all the major gas station companies' supply contracts are generally hedged for price fluctuation. I always lol at the price changes but end up taking it up the keester.

The overnight hikes are legitimate - sort of - in the sense that they're coming from the demand side, not the supply side.

But you're right, they are lying through their teeth when they refuse to drop the prices after the demand spike is over.

1.24 for premium when I left work today, lol, I think that's the lowest it's been all summer.

Smart move from the operators, getting you all to swarm in last week while the prices were still high, spike it up for a few days to make you think you saved a bundle, then dropping them down to market levels.
