The character is Madea. Tyler Perrys plays (they predate the movies) are comedies and have their funny parts. But they also are religious in the sense that there is alot of songs about living by god and jesus.

His movies are not bad at all. Its just going to be alot of family messages and gospel with the sprinking of comedy.

Yall that are so up his ass as a no talent hack. I wanna see you write and score a full play thats picked up nationwide and turned into box office sucesses and a television show. If you can make that claim then by all means you can talk all the shit you want about Tyler Perry.
