Slylee is most exciting after a mojito happy hour.

MOJITO BABY

I had the best fucking mojito i've ever had in my life at some small unassuming bar of one of those little butique hotels in South Beach... between Washington and Collins around the 8th street intersection. Most refreshing alcoholic drink I've ever had. I felt jipped by all the other mojitos i've ever had after driking that one. So awesome... when you get them made right, the difference is amazing

I would consider myself a vodka aficionado and Tito's Handmade Vodka (www.titos-vodka.com) is by far my favorite. When drinking straight up it goes down very smoothly with little to no burn afterwards and when used in a mixed drink you can barely taste it. Effen Black Cherry is my favorite flavored vodka, goes good with about anything and has a pleasant taste when drinking it by itself.

+1 Tito's is nice. That small batch stuff is just better... Hangar 1, Tito's, Jean Marc XO...

Oh, ice is a given. Gotta have ice in mixed drinks in the summer. They get warm really quickly here otherwise

Jewel of Russia... classic or ultra, both are good

You're insane. mix a little bit of birch juice with the birch vodka and it's like a dessert drink. This vodka cleans house in european tasting competitions for a reason

eh to each his own i guess.

Posted by The17sss on Sep-12-2008 04:11:

well at least you respect the stoli

Posted by gehzumteufel on Sep-12-2008 04:14:

Stoli is the cheapest I will drink, but I prefer things like Effen (regular or black cherry. Same price as Goose but better imho), Hangar 1, Polar Ice, Kauffmann, Elit, and a few others I can't think of.

Kado: it says HETMAN not GETMAN.

If you are ok spending a pretty penny, get Kauffmann. It is an aged vodka and it is fucking DELICIOUS.Hands down THE best vodka I have ever had. I want to get another bottle (emc^2 actually hooked me up with the first bottle I had. Thanks bro!) but of the 2003 vintage instead of the 2005 vintage that I originally had, but it is $200/bottle.

Posted by chimera66 on Sep-12-2008 04:22:

i only drink vodka and it is a must to always have a bottle of belvedere in my apartment. some people keep wine and i like vodka

couple limes and a bit of tonic and that's my drink

Yeah I like the Elit too... and to be honest i've never tried Effen.

Great call on Kauffman. I forgot about that one. I bought a bottle of it at the airport in Moscow 2 years ago purely by chance because I had never seen it before and I liked the bottle...lol. Turns out it was well worth the purchase. Thanks for reminding me man I'm going to try to order some on line now.

You can buy it in the states now! It just got here about 6 months or so ago. http://www.wallywine.com/p-30768-ka...-sale-each.aspx They only carry the 2003 vintage though, so be prepared for $220/bottle. You can buy the 2005 vintage from the UK for $80-$100/bottle.

They will ship it right? I see it only sells retail in CA, AZ, and NV. Fuck man I have to get my hands on it again. Do you think there's really that much of a taste difference between 2003 and 2005?

Read the post again. Different link to the online retailer that ships all over the US.

And I don't know if there is a difference, but I will be buying a bottle of the 2003 vintage as soon as I can afford it. I want to know. If you get a bottle anytime soon let me know how it is.
