Wow, you don't understand the word hypothetical.

then again, i'm not surprised. if anything, you're like 4-6 years YOUNGER than you're telling us

Re: Hypothetical Situation [Age-related]

As far as most of my friends go, if they told me how old they were I probably wouldn't even remember it a day later. I don't know if I'd call many of them "good friends" though.

Frankly, any friend who is a big enough part of my life that I'd remember their age to begin with is also someone who I know enough other background information about that I couldn't realistically be mistaken about their age.

Just call them an old fogie then laugh at them

i wouldn't write them off cuz it takes a lot more than that for me to do that, but i would make a mental note of "FLAKE" inside and lose some respect

like what if bas told you he was really 4 or 5 years older than once originally said?

lol. there's no real "answer" i'm looking for, just curious how age and lying plays into people's friendships and lives.

What makes you think Ben and I are friends?

seriously

i can barely remember birthdays, let alone year of birth

although i frequently find myself surprised for whatever reason at most peoples real ages when i do find them out...

it would be weird for example if this 17 year old girl i know who runs around the clubs here that everyone knows is 17 and its this long running joke thing about how shes not legal ( i dont know if any club staff know, or even care )

if i found out she was like 23 it would be fucking weird

Posted by Project-K on Sep-24-2008 22:53:

If anything I'd be puzzled as to why they lied in the first place, but I wouldn't think much of it.

hypothetical: they told you they were 26-28, but later on tell you they are 30-32.

If they kept giving me age ranges like that I'd tell them to fuck off. "Look dickhead, nobody is born over the span of two years. Pick a fucking day."

Posted by Slylee on Sep-24-2008 23:01:

i can't believe some of you are finding something like this dismissable...and i'm talking about like if it was a good friend you think you "know" pretty well.

it's a reg flag for me. doesn't mean they are pieces of shit and that i should just stop being friends with them. but it definitely means they are vain and shady and those aren't qualities i look for in good friends.

Posted by elFreak on Sep-24-2008 23:02:

everything is a red flag to you.

pass the vodka sauce plz

Posted by Slylee on Sep-24-2008 23:12:

lol

comittment phobes are funny aren't we

Posted by Vivid Boy on Sep-24-2008 23:21:

It takes alot to become a good friend of mine 10 years plus of friendship. so if it were someone whos just recently became my friend, id totally dismiss it and laugh at the guy. If youre my good friend then i know u inside and out
