Mitch Hedberg is god... brilliance, Dimitri Martin has a similar style, that he seems to be getting better and better at with the years.

Chris Rock and Eddie Murphy are legends...

Russell Peters has done TORONTO proud

Jeremy Hotz is my favorite Canadian...

although Dane Cook has this 50/50 on him, I think he's hilarious, I love his delivery.. and everytime people compare me to them (my over the top story telling with actions I guess?) it's nothing more then a compliment.

Andrew Dyce Clay is DOPE

If you watch the comedy central roasts, Greg Giraldo and Jefferey Ross rip people better then anyone I ever seen before...

There is this new show, called DOWN and DIRTY on HBO Canada that RULES... rude,crude,disgusting humour.. it's not for everyone, but when you can seperate "real" from the "non real" and appreciate the "OVER THE TOPNESS" of it all, this shows definitely for you.

Dane makes me cry, but I've seen him 'borrow' or re-hash jokes I've heard before. But all comedians are influenced by their predecesors.

Just wanted to add how hilarious Jon Pinnete is. Saw him in Hamilton earlier this summer (90 percent of his act is about food or his weight) but honestly he had 20 mintues of material about turnips and it had the convention centre crying of laughter.

Larry the cable guy killed the copps colliseum as well....but I could tell that his act would not have been as succesful in Toronto. Far too many cracker jokes. You see him once, you've seen him enough.

Bill Hicks wins my vote for best standup...delivery isn't top shelf but content is over the roof.
