The point is that you don't evaluate facts objectively, but in a way that makes your favorite party look better.
Just the same way you don't aquire information about your favorite basketball team because you think you can influence their performance, but because you're a fan of that team. You�ll consequently end up being biased about everything you know about your team / party, just because there's no reason for you to gain any knowledge other than entertainment and fanboyism.

If anything, Obama's stance on many issues replicate that of Bush.
Subsidies/tariffs, more regulation, a more progressive tax code are a few examples.

Just the fact that I have to see my parents having a really hard time financially and having trouble with the mortgage and Obama promises to give them a break is enough reason for me to support him. I really don't have anything personal against people who are going to vote for McCain as a lot of you seem to have towards people such as Sukhoi and all of that. Whatever, he's voting for McCain, yay. Good for you for voting for someone who seems to represent your beliefs the best.

However, a vote in support of McCain is also a vote in support for Palin, which then leads me to believe that Sukhoi and everyone else on that side is an absolute fucking idiot and deserve a swift kick to the cunt.
